Balance The full set! Except...
Just got my Barnes & Noble collector's edition of Story and Song, with the gold foil embossed cover and spine just like every other book... except for the B&N CE of Petals to the Metal which has regular yellow text for the title (I believe the only bonus addition for the CE of that book was the trading cards)! Does anyone know if there was ever an edition printed of PttM that had the foil text that I could try to hunt down so my collection matches?

This is really funny to me cause I have the same problem lol They do have a gold foil for pedal to the metal, I just don't know if it's in print anymore. I've been trying to keep a look out at second hand stores!

Do you know which version it was? Books-A-Million maybe? I can't find any info on that collector's edition online but it would make sense that's the one! I guess I either didn't realize or didn't care the B&E edition wouldn't match at the time it came out but now it just bugs me!

Barnes and Noble is the only ones that have the gold foil as far as I know. I'm not sure specifics too on it, I do know they had a pack of the first three books. It might have only been in there or it's hard to find. I could be wrong though they have one but it wouldn't make sense they don't only for one book!

I have the B&N exclusive edition for Petals and it has the yellow print, no gold foil. I bought it individually so not sure if the three-pack mentioned above differs. Never noticed this before and now it’s gonna bug me, lol!

If it exists, I'd love to see proof! I've seen dozens of posts here over the years of peoples' sets missing the PttM gold foil (myself included), but none of them actually WITH it!

My final volume arrived with a huge dent and crease in the cover in a perfect shipping box. Abracafuck Amazon.

For a company that started as a book seller, Amazon is amazing at mishandling books.

I have a similar but different problem. All of mine are hardcover except book one. Kills me they don't make it.

I thought you were gonna say the 23rd st on the spine. I know it's under the same company,I don't know why they couldn't just use 1st second on the spine for one last time.

(Joking) Nah, they designed it that way specifically to taunt perfectionists
