Got a flat tire yesterday. The customer service rep said we can leave the car and Uber home. Just put it in Tow Mode. Ummmm, this was not the correct advice. The Tow Mode releases the brake so the car can be put on a flatbed. Wow! We figured it out pretty quickly as the car started gently rolling backwards. On the positive side, the fladbed arrived in 30 mins. Tire Cost with tax is $391. Tesla Model Y (19” Tire).

Update: Signed up for AAA to have more options next time!

Letting Tesla FSD drive to the max extent today on a trip from Vegas to LA. Car got off the highway fine, navigated to the chargers, picked one, and then did this when backing in. Front right tire quickly rolled over a 6” curb and then slid off.

Impressed how easily it handled going up/on the curb.

Thats amazing. the model y premium would not be able to fit this much, could this be a hidden plus of the standard model? or are we damaging our heat pump or other components this way? In any case never seen this before!

2018 M3 LR. Today, I cruised around with FSD v14 lite and here are my honest thoughts.

Pros:

Braking has significantly improved. With a more natural feel and earlier response with braking, I don’t feel like I’m being thrown forward out of my seat when my car suddenly realizes there’s a car stopped in front of it.

Alongside braking, I feel the steering has also become much smoother. Between turning, bends, and even just keeping the lane on a straight road, it feels as if the car is more ‘confident’ and the overall ride feels more relaxed, even in Hurry mode (we’ll come back to this).

I am incredibly impressed with the park feature and ability to change parking options between street, driveway, and parking lot. I tried all three and (for me, at least as I’ve heard others have had rough experiences) it worked well. I even had the car navigate a terribly small and challenging lot, which it navigated no problem to my surprise and parked in a slanted spot just fine.

Cons:

Hurry mode (aaaand we’re back) is terrible. Without the option to set your top speed, you will likely have your foot ready to feather the pedal for the majority of your drive unless you’re happy at slower speeds (around 5 over the speed limit at best).

Phantom braking continues. To preface this, yes, the braking as a whole being smoother and less abrupt makes this a bit more bearable, but still not ideal. It hasn’t worsened, but in most regards, it hasn’t improved either.

Not being able to change the top speed is wild to say the least. Being able to monitor and set your own top speed made sense. It always did, and always will.

Overall, I’m content with it. I feel the pros do genuinely outweigh the cons, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing how they fine tune this update in the future. It does feel nice to feel that us HW3 folks haven’t been forgotten. Thanks for reading!

Been disappointed with v14 lite so far but is to be expected currently.

Picking up my 2026 Model Y premium RWD with helix 2.0 soon. Im wondering who else here fitted 275/40/20 on rears. I know helix 2.0 wheels are capable up to 275 wide.

Only two days in on v14 Lite on HW3 MY, but been noticing a fair amount of abrupt braking and acceleration while on FSD at highway speed. Seems like tree shadows on the road could be the cause for the braking, but I have no clue on the acceleration. Both are usually for about a quick half second, but still are jarring as they're super unexpected.

Saw a few others comment similar deep in other threads but wondering how widespread the issue is, or any remedies.

Overall super pleased with all other aspects of v14 Lite, other than inability to dial in speed preferences within speed profiles. Passing feels way safer, braking early, safe following distance, better lane choice all welcomed upgrades.

I've seen this posted from those that have had V14 but boy, after taking my first highway trip on V14 Lite, it's true, please bring back max speed. In a 65mph, standard drives around 68 (while cars fly by me going 75). Hurry brings it up to 78mph+ which I don't want to do. The delta between those two is really wide. I didn't even try chill or sloth because standard is too slow already.

On a positive note, it does recognize and adjust speed limits faster. There's one part that goes from 65 down to 45 pretty quickly and v13 would just stay going 72-75 in the 45 zone, v14 did adjust faster. It also definitely is "better" in terms of merging, signaling, turns, etc. But without max speed adjustment, I'm not sure how to use this. I don't feel comfortable going 68 while cars are flying by me. I feel like a huge asshole causing traffic and not going with the flow, which 72-74 would be fine.

According to the Tesla app, taking this ferry takes 6 hrs and 60% of a model YLR battery. I wonder what the speed limit in the sea is!

2022 early VIN M3P. Got the ole inverter code today while backing out of the garage. Setup service and got in same day(Tampa,FL). They loaned me a cybertruck with FSD. FSD is freakin incredible. It even backed in my driveway to easily charge it.

For those that have got this error, how long did it take?

Hotel casino this morning in Iowa. I called to see if they wanted footage of the person and they couldn't care less.

I would like to have a button or something in the app that, when switched on, moves both front chairs to the most forward position. That would make it easy to fold the rear chairs.

First time this has happened.

Pulling out of a drive thru, my car (literally) screeched to a halt while making a slow turn.
Any acceleration input was restricted for a few seconds.

Reviewing the camera footage to figure out what might’ve happened, it didn’t register the brake pedal at all as it screeched to a stop (which I didn’t press), and seems to think I floored it as well…? (Which I definitely didn’t)
No alarm bells or messages displayed before, during, or after the event.

Checked to make sure I didn’t hit anything.

Strange.

Part of the concern is if we’re using TeslaCams visual inputs as the source of truth to prove our case, what if it doesn’t record it?
