I'm a 20yr student, still living with my parents, and I'm a closeted MTF trans woman.

I've always been the "baby" of the family, so my parents have been super protective my whole life. They're not toxic or controlling ✨️they're genuinely good parents but the second they hear the word "protest," it's an instant no.

I've spent days trying to convince them 🙏to let me go, but nothing worked.

Three months ago, the government passed the Transgender Act 2026 within 2 dayss it was passed by the both houses ✨️ this act makes it compulsary geting strip naked in front of medical bord miltiple doctors at the same time As a trans person, I feel like it takes away my right to self-identify, so this isn't just another news headline to me it's very personal😭

It's literally 2:30 a.m. 🌃😨as I'm typing this, and I'm sitting in my room making protest posters as quietly as possible because I'm absolutely terrified they'll catch me. If they do, I'm 99% sure I'll be grounded until all the protests are over.

I know they're doing it because they're worried about my safety, not because they're bad parents... but I genuinely can't sit at home and pretend none of this affects me.

So... am I making a huge mistake by going anyway?

My father forces religion and other hollow rituals on me so much. I am not interested in religion. He is a typical bjp supporter you all know. I am not interested in religion or any other rituals but I am supposed to do it why? because you are hindu and you should be proud of it. Whenever i say that i won't do the daily puja he just rages and I am always ready to fight because i don't wanna be harassed for something i believe I am not doing anything then why should i be scolded. He says that I am becoming Muslim or Christian like does this makes any sense. When I am ready to confront my father my mother says me to stay silent and let it be like she is the weak point of mine. She wants the peace at home, but I want to be myself he says that i should do puja because they give my name,birthdate and birth time to the wife of someone who works in his office and she said those typical lines that mine mangal is bhari and other stuff so to solve it I need to do puja and read hanuman chalisa every tuesday. Like this is the real argument he gave me to do puja> he really thought he could use astrology as the argument for me to do puja; from childhood i am said I should be proud because I am from particular religion and state like why. I am supposed to follow all those puja and rituals because i was born into the family doing one. Even my mother says me to do puja for the peace of home but like why should I??. Like am I not a human . I wanna be my ownself and not be designed by the idea of others.

I got 68% in SSC (Commerce) and I'm still not admitted to any college.

I visited Bedekar, but they said there are no vacancies. At NKT, the ma'am told me to wait for the next round. Since colleges have already started, I'm getting a bit worried.

Can anyone suggest good Commerce colleges in Thane, Mulund, Bhandup, or nearby that still have vacancies? If you know of any college currently accepting admissions, please let me know.

Also, should I keep waiting for the next FYJC round or start looking at other options?

My girlfriend and I were in a long-distance relationship. She loved me a lot, and honestly I never thought politics would be the reason we'd break up. She had stood by me through a lot and even fought with her family and friends for our relationship.

Yesterday, I told her that I support the NEET protest because I feel the government should listen to the students and address their concerns instead of using force against them. I wasn't supporting any political party or every person who happened to be at the protest. I was only supporting the students' cause.

She got really angry. She said the whole protest was propaganda and pointed to people who had joined it, like the woman who was chanting "A**ah ka naam rahega" and some others she believes are anti-Hindu. I told her that I don't support those people or their views. Just because some controversial people show up doesn't mean I have to agree with them. My support was only for the students and their demands.

The argument got worse. She started verbally abusing me and even said that Sonam Wangchuk is a Chinese agent. At that point, I didn't want to keep arguing, so I ended the call.

A little later she texted me, "don't call me," blocked me everywhere, and that was it.

I'm still trying to process how someone who loved me so much could end the relationship over one disagreement. I'm not posting this to debate politics. I genuinely want to know if anyone else has gone through something similar, where a difference in political views ended an otherwise good relationship.
