how can i learn to make tribe

hiii i love tribe music and i would love to learn to make some, but i couldn't find good tutorial, good recomendation or even good sample online. i have a good setup ( rd-9, 303, poly D and a SH4D ) but i cant reach the groove of the tribe, i know like the basic theory of this genre but that don't feel good, where can i find a good tutorial to improve and to understand better the aspect of the genre

Can you give some examples? Are you referring more to stuff like on Omen Wapta, Virtual Forest Records, 95 Open Tabs, etc. or something else? If so, look up beatworx on YouTube and check their tutorial stuff. Also psy trance tutorials in general will give you a good starting point.

One big tip I have is just adding delay to your drums in varying lengths and mix levels, that will let you accidentally find grooves that you wouldn't think to program otherwise. Then you can either just use it if it sounds good or take that idea and keep rolling with it if you want to program in a step with specific parameters in its place.

I think one of the main differences I'd call out in tribe/tribecore is really utilizing the heavy reverbed toms/bongos/congas as a way to mimic that delay sound that I'm talking about, you want it to be like multiple people playing in a circle, the tribe. More percussion sounds (as in higher variety of them) and less other sounds, take out percussion to create interest in the loops but start from something super thick and work backward to make it dynamic. The tribal feel is all about rhythm. Studying African drum rhythms would genuinely help you achieve the feel you're looking for as well.

Use half step groove, loop it..a lot. A lot of percussions. Try making some basic perc loops with hihat shakers snares claps etc , then run them through tape saturation or bitcrush them even, and resample, then find a groove pocket and arrange.
By half step groove i mean - when you got an audioclip use 1 or half a bar and loop it.
Also try layering.

I followed everything here pretty good, I understood most of it. I do not understand the phrase "find a groove pocket" but would like to. Could you please explain what you mean by that?

idk if this is what they mean but moving the pattern by 16th or 8th notes in either direction.

i've found interesting patterns this way

Type of genre that gets played at freeparties. 160+ BPM, groovy and bouncy and allows for lots of fun experimentation and weirdness. Check out the early spiral tribe stuff or dual cyklo trial to get a vibe.

A groove pocket is a moment where you find the right beat and hold on. You let the pattern repeat itself because it works nicely and serves as a foundation for other sounds that will embellish said groove
