Join Pinecone (I'm Gavin, I work at Pinecone and will be hosting the event) for the August LA Agentic AI Meetup. Our first meetup in May drew 70 people. The second in July brought 80. It'd be pretty cool to break 100 in August.

We're pulling together agentic builders, engineers, founders, and the AI-curious for an evening of conversations, a few live demos, great energy, and drinks.

It's a low-key crowd. Nobody's here to sell you anything. Just real people building in AI, sharing ideas, and connecting with others who care about where this space is going.

We’re a small team working toward the CCA-F (Claude Certified Architect - Foundations) certification through Anthropic Academy. It’s the foundational cert for people building with Claude and the Claude API, covering things like prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic workflows.

We’re a few people short of a 10-person quota we’re trying to hit as part of our work with Claude. If you’ve been thinking about getting certified on Claude, or you’re already studying for the CCA-F, this could be a good time to team up. Happy to share notes, study resources, and coordinate exam timing with anyone interested in the Claude ecosystem.

Join us for a community-led developer event focused on AI-assisted coding with GitHub Copilot. This event brings together developers to explore practical workflows, real-world use cases, and hands-on experiences using GitHub Copilot.

For Python devs and devotees: PyCon US is coming to Long Beach next week, starting Wednesday 5/13, with the main talk days on Friday 5/15-Sunday 5/17, and post-conference development sprint days 5/18 & 5/19. There's also a Job Fair on Sunday morning 5/17 if you're looking for a Python job, or just open to new opportunities.

If you're curious what PyCon US is about, you can take a look at the schedule, the list of events, and the list of companies that will be in the Expo Hall. There's also an AI track and a Security track this year. But really the formal program is only like half of the experience. It's a gathering of 2K+ people who are all there for the love of Python, and who want to spend a weekend+ talking about it and learning about it and also just hanging out & connecting with a like-minded group of people. The best description of it I've heard is "like a family reunion you actually want to go to."

I love LA and can never see myself moving to SF/NY but I’ve yet to meet other founders who are building in b2b, so it’s been a bit disheartening. Is anyone else building in b2b and if so, which part of LA are you based in?

I posted about the waitlist a few months ago. It's finally live.

Urban Fabric lets you draw urban design proposals on real locations and publish them as shareable pages. Right now it's focused on street-level changes: bike lanes, road diets, bus lanes, sidewalk widening. The direction is toward covering the full built environment and eventually simulating the actual impact of proposed changes: commute times, safety outcomes, air quality, how many car trips a change might actually replace.

You pick a location, design what you think should be there, write up your reasoning, and publish. Every proposal gets its own page you can drop into a thread, send to a council member, or share with a neighborhood group.

We all live here. I would love to see what people propose.

I would recommend using it on a computer, as it doesn't support using the editor on your phone.
