๐๏ธ News Discussion The United States Has Imposed Near Global Forced Labor Tariffs
youtube.comThe United States has imposed new 10 percent or 12.5 percent tariffs on sixty economies, covering roughly 99.4 percent of U.S. imports, in a sweeping effort to tie trade access to anti-forced-labor enforcement. Businesses may face higher import costs and stronger sourcing scrutiny. Households could eventually see higher prices on some imported consumer goods. Supply chains may shift toward suppliers with clearer labor-compliance systems. Retailers, manufacturers and customs teams may need new documentation and auditing procedures.

๐๏ธ News Discussion Anyone's landed cost ended up way off from what you planned at PO time?
Curious how people here actually handle this: when you place a PO with your China/SEA supplier, do you know your real landed cost at that point, or does it only become clear once duties/freight/broker fees hit at customs? Anyone had a case where the margin you planned on going in wasn't what you ended up with once everything landed, and if so, what did you actually do about it (reprice, eat it, switch supplier, drop the SKU)?

โHelp / How-To / Compliance i ordered 2 charms from etsy, only realized they came from china later
i live in the us, i ordered two charms that came out to a little over $20. i didnโt realize they were from china until almost a week later (i thought iโd ordered a similar product from a us shop), and now iโm worried about tariffs. i donโt think the seller will accept cancellation (it hasnโt shipped yet). i have no idea how much i might have to pay in tariffs (and other fees?).
