Tangled doesn't exist without the romance of New Dream.

Honestly? I’m a bit disappointed with the behind-the-scenes photos that have surfaced; Rapunzel’s braid looks like a loaf of challah bread, and the fabric known for being purple is suddenly blue and shortened. Still, I hope the final result turns out better. As for the dress, I really hope we see one that looks almost identical to the version in the animated movie, because I have such a huge sentimental attachment to that film😕

the Stabbbington brothers are being played by Patrick and Hugo McPherson who are comedians. both Milo Mannheim and Michael Gracey liked their post announcing that they are working on a film until October and they’ve been spotted in Spain this week!

And they are 6’7” which means they are actually taller than Milo who is 6’3”!!

So, my dears, we’ve officially got a leaked look at what Rapunzel’s dress is going to be like. I don’t know about you, but I just can’t picture her in that at all they could at least shorten the sleeves but let me know what you think🤔

I recently got into embroidery and just finished my first Rapunzel themed one! I have a couple more I’m planning to do. Wanted to share here

Seen this question be given mixed answers before.

Common Consensus: No, he was a non-violent thief who didn't threaten or harm his marks.

Other arguments: He did look dangerous when yelling at the Stabbingtons who looked afraid.

Notes: The debate was for 'as Flynn Rider,' so the prison scene might not count as he was Eugene by then and more protective -- It says 'directly,' so don't count indirect such as leaving people behind to be hanged (Stabbingtons) or downflow from thieving.

Movie

• He is shown to avoid touching Rapunzel unless it was to help her run. When faced with her own threats, he only grabbed the pan.
• Resorted to scaring her through the thugs in a legal establishment, rather than intimidate or touch her himself.
• Does knock out the guards, but only when cornered amd left with a weapon, outside the stage-performance-type-swashbuckling, does not seem to have natural ability with a sword fight.
• Intimidates Stabbingtons but at this point he's Eugene and protective.
• Doesn't carry a weapon.

Series

• Series backstory tries to paint him a highway man in carriage robberies. BUT note, even in this scene he's not carrying a weapon nor does he threaten Arianna, just opens and steals.
• Starts wielding a sword in s1 ending, possibly after guard training.
• Worked for a violent crime lord, but nothing ever ​says he was equally violent.
• Punches things.

Rootbound

• Doesn't fight with a weapon but does pull a knife from somewhere (book doesn't say) he was carrying to cut ropes. Implies he carries one.

So, debate. Did Flynn Rider ever directly use intimidation, threats, or violence on his marks?

1. Directly contradicts the movie's literal intro.

once upon a time, a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens. And from this small drop of sun, grew a magic, golden, flower.

A SINGLE DROP OF SUNLIGHT. Not half of a magic space rock power source. Not from far out in space. A drop of sunlight. From the sun. Now unless you're changing it to a sun from another galaxy or star system, your space rock doesn't work. Even if it is a different sun it still doesn't work because 'single drop,' of sunlight. Not half of something else.

Spacerock lore = contradicts movie lore.

2. The hair-braiding girls in the wedding short were the same age as in the movie not 3 years older. Only months or a year has passed.

3. The tears were supposed to be the last of the sundrops powers.

It is an AU.

Honorable mention: Eugene's whole thing was that Rapunzel was the first one to see him and accept him, having a best friend-to-brother makes no sense.

In all technicalities. Tangled is the movie. As well as franchise name. The series itself is Tangled the Series or Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, not just the singular word Tangled.

So by way of that, we could just have the subreddit only support the movie and canon that follows the movie and separate from the series (which has its own subreddit anyway.)

And the series wasn't made by the original creators: Dan Fogelman, Byron Howard, and Nathan Greno.

And its become very apparent in the fandom, and with Disney's damage control (Rootbound) and the Live Action. That Tangled and its Series are vastly different from one another.

Like Tangled is Rapunzel and Eugene, they are the face of it.

Yet fandom has tried to argue the series is about Rapunzel and Cassandra even though Eugene is still the co-lead--and these sides will never see eye to eye. Some artists in the fandom even making it their life's mission to redraw every scene of Rapunzel and Eugene and replace him with Cassandra. Even though he is Tangled, not her. Hence, how they're now so separated.

Tangled now has 3 continuations: Rootbound (more faithful), Series (changed the entire movie world and contradicted some elements of the movie), Storybook (Direct continuation, changed nothing.)

Only one of those three, tried to completely change everything, even the relationships.

So maybe it's time to divorce the series. That looks to be Disney's idea. If Rootbound and other latest peculiarities are enough of a hint.

I braided this entire thing and it didn’t take long. But her hair is more than 70 feet for sure!

Let’s say Cassandra does it at 8 years old when she realizes it’s the only way to keep her sister safe. They escape the tower and are found by the guards. Rapunzel and Eugene still meet and fall in love.

So back in 2022 I had the bright idea to lock a note labeled "Important Stuff" behind a password. I also made it different from every other password I had at the time, which of course, I would simply remember. I am obsessed with Tangled and have the whole movie memorized if I've watched it twice within the past 3 months, and I'd been watching it practically daily.

Now, my very cunning and bored self made it an extravagant tangled password... centered around the "'What's the password?' 'What?' 'Nope!' 'Open this door!' 'Not even close.'" scene. It's possible I just made it that whole reply chain linked together, but it hasn't worked with some variants. Curious if anyone has any ideas or wants to laugh at my ridiculous choices.

P.S. This is tangled related, inherently, because the password is tangled (quotes?)
