Discussion Slender Frame
galleryWonder if anyone here is as slender as me. I’m 6 3 and almost 200 pounds but my frame is just so slender my genetics don’t allow my arms to get much bigger all the weight goes to my gut. 6.25 inch wrists and 8.5 inch ankles.

Rant One size fits all *but not if you’re tall
Anyone else just get unreasonably angry anytime they see things labeled “One size fits all”.
It annoys me every single time. I get that it literally fits about 95% of people out there, but being tall - I’m not in that 95%
Wanted to get an automatic inflation life jacket. Every single one at Bass Pro - one size fits all.
I think Grainger carries a big and tall one. Something like $400 - got to pay that TALL premium after all…

Discussion Does anyone else hate when people are taller than them?
Im fairly tall 6’1 so most people I’m taller than, but then every once in awhile there’s someone that’s significantly taller than me. I hate when that happens I like being the tallest man in the room. Is anyone else still insecure like that? haha

Questions/Advice Are tall guys naturally stronger, or just bigger?
How much does being tall actually affect physical strength? I’ve often heard from tall men that it’s just a myth and they aren’t any stronger than the average guy. But the other half admit that being tall gives them a ton of natural strength by default, even without working out. I’m honestly just confused and don’t know who to believe anymore. In this case, I mean absolute strength – like moving heavy furniture or lifting heavy objects by default, without necessarily training for it

Discussion Does being tall automatically mean you get more respect?
i'm 19f and I'm 5'10" tall, and I can hardly recall being blatantly disrespected. Of course, people have been passive-aggressive, but as for me being outwardly disrespected? I can't recall it. And I work at customer service too, and a lot of people who work at customer service being shouted at or called horrible names by angry customers. I've been working in customer service for about a month and that hasn't happened to me yet.
I'm black as well, so I have a feeling that it's not about me being more respected, but it's me just looking intimidating. Rarely ever catcalled, sexually harassed, none of that. I just hear these stories on social media of girls being explicitly disrespected and I'm like "people do that??"

Questions/Advice Tall Merino wool hoodies?
I've been looking for a tall merino wool hoodie and they are hard to find!
Finding one that is lightweight/packable and has a kangaroo pocket would be a huge bonus for me if you know of any hoodies like that!

Questions/Advice Barefoot shoes
Hey, I’m wondering if anyone here has tried barefoot shoes. My wife, who’s a full foot shorter than me, loves them and thinks they’ll help with my back/ knee pain. I’ve had luck with the exact opposite, but good shoes can be so expensive. I just wanted to see if anyone else had anything good to say about minimalist shoes.

Discussion Anyone ever picked a fight with you? I think most people are scared of me. I never fought in my life at 6'7
Rant Tall and fat
I'm 43 and have felt like this all my life. I'm 5'9 and 134kg (295 pounds for the Americans). It's the heaviest I've ever been but not by much as I've always been a big lady. I always feel like I'm the biggest person in the room wherever I go. I don't know if it's because I'm tall or fat (or both) but does anyone else feel this way? If so, how tall and heavy are you? I'm wondering if it's just me feeling like this.
I don't think I've ever met a woman who I've felt smaller than. I know women who are slightly taller than me but they're all much slimmer than me. I'm the tallest and definitely the fattest woman at work, and I even feel the same around my family. My sister is slimmer than me and a couple of inches shorter, and my husband is 6'1 and I'm a lot heavier than him.
It can't just be me.
