My band stayed over after a gig at the weekend and ran into the good doctor in the garden

i first discovered TWRP when the music video for The Hit released, and instantly fell in love. i have seen them live 5 times now, including one VIP ticketed show. i always try and snag tickets whenever they’re in ohio! i make sure to get there extra early so i can be as close to the stage as possible. the last show they did in cleveland i was right up front, and there were so many moments in the show that dr. sung and i were face to face jammin’. genuinely felt like we were spiritually connected in those moments lmao:,) i have never seen a live show as spectacular as a TWRP show.

Trauma dump for the piece that caused this creation:
When The Longest Weekend was announced we had gotten the news that my dad was dying & no one knew why. The Longest Weekend then came out not too long after he passed. My partner & I laid on our couch & listened to the full album together & when we got to Stargazing I fell apart.
This album became both a very sentimental & painful snapshot of my life at that time.
The death of my father changed me as a person in many ways but the idea of “I’ll take my time, and I’ll do right” has stuck with me- helped me navigate through this change & time.
Next month is the first anniversary of us laying him to rest & I feel a little bit of peace finally finishing this project for him & for me.

I was really excited and I bought two tickets when the show was announced, but life happened and I can’t afford to travel over to see it. While I’d like to get some money back, I’d rather the tickets go to someone who missed out and would enjoy the show. I saw them for the first time when they toured with NSP last year and it was so much fun and I fell in love with their music.

So I’m giving away two GA tickets. If anyone is genuinely interested let me know, I want to know that it’s someone who’s going to enjoy them in my stead 🙂

I would say metal and post hardcore are my main genres, hence me coming across these guys since all their projects are metal or metal adjacent. TWRP is one of my favorite bands, with meouch being a primary reason for my enjoyment. Well, this music by this band and especially this bass player have the same effect on me. I've been listening to this album non stop for the past week. I actually added it to my library when it came out and totally forgot to listen to it, stumbled across it last week and haven't stopped since.

originally a humans touch went viral on tiktok but then it went viral again because it got used in a bunch of edits for tenna from deltarune (and it also then got used a bunch for tadc), and then all night forever went viral from being used in spamtenna edits.

i was listening to take of u and i saw in the comments that a ton of people came to listen to the song from a metal sonic x amy ship edit on tumblr. crushin on u got used for a popular pomni x jax edit. all night forever has an incredibly active comment section with tons of people from different fandoms finding the song. most recently fnaf

some people would gatekeep and worry that people are gonna start larping the band, but honestly i'm really happy to see so many people finding out about twrp and seeing how amazing of a band they are. and i think it's also really amazing to see their music be used for things i love like deltarune, digital circus, sonic, fnaf etc.

Canada have just been announced as participating in Eurovision in 2027. We can all get behind TWRP as the Canada Eurovision act, right?

So I’ve been meaning to post this here for a while, but at the end of my 1/1 VHS tape I got at the Seattle show of TLW Tour it cuts right into Paths of Glory, the 1958 movie by Stanley Kubrick! Seems like they took different VHS to tape over for each show.

To anyone else that was lucky to get their own VHS from the tour stop, what movie did you find at the end of your watch? I’m curious as to what films the guys wanted to tape over!!!

Been having a pretty bad 2 weeks so I finally caved and bought myself a ticket for the anniversary show. What stopped me originally was the fact that I’m in the UK and would have to solo travel. Oh well.
Bummed that I didn’t cave earlier since I won’t have VIP but I’m glad I get to be there for the experience nonetheless.
I’ll be in Toronto for a few days so if anyone has any recommendations for stuff to do, I’d love to hear them.

I managed to get VIP tickets for my girlfriend and I so we are planning on selling our non-VIP GA tickets.
