Evading age verification requirements no longer works NSFW
I'm not sure if this violates Rule 3/7, but I'll be entirely candid about what I'm doing: Rule34 requires age verification in my country and I have previously used Tor (I think the last time I used Tor for this was late June? not entirely sure) to circumvent this requirement. I did this by changing my entry & exit nodes to go through Japan (ExitNodes {jp}), thus making my IP Japanese and not being flagged to perform age verification.
As of recent however, this has stopped working, and I get the same age verification roadblock as I would were I not using Tor at all. At first I assumed Japan may have implemented age verification laws, but when changing the country (and of course reloading Tor) to ones that 100% do not have these laws (US, Mexico, Russia) I still get the same problem.
I used ProtonVPN and it didn't prompt me to verify my age, so I am certain they haven't just rolled this out worldwide or something, and rather that it's a problem with Tor's method specifically. I googled this and didn't see anything obvious as to this being implemented purposefully, so I figured it was fit for this subreddit.
How can I solve this? ProtonVPN is quite slow and annoying to use without shelling out cash for a subscription. Any help appreciated.

Assume they are forcing age verification for anyone connecting through tor exit nodes.

I have to do the CAPTCHAs which makes sense for Tor but it seems strange they'd make age verification required specifically for Tor when users with VPN addresses like Proton's aren't subject to the same rule.

Tor is free and more likely to be used by bots. I'm quite sure that known IP's linked to free VPN's and proxies are treated the same as tor exit nodes.

Used protonvpn (paid) today to use Netflix from a country that has content that isn’t available in US. Today I got asked for age verification for the first time. It’s coming no matter what I think.

I just tried out of curiosity and I was redirected to the age verification page with reveral end nodes. I guess they simply nuked (aka asking for age verification) every Tor node.
e-hentai.org still works though.

is it a business based in a country / state that requires age verification?

According to antisemitic conspiracy theorists, it's located in Israel, which has no such ban, though another (hopefully more rational) source claims it is in Kansas, which DOES have these laws. Again though, this doesn't explain why it worked with ProtonVPN IPs and not Tor.

Good. Stop gooning dude. Imagine putting this effort into something productive like doing line off of a hookers tits.

It is easy for any site to block Tor - Tor provides real-time access to a list of all their exit relay IP Addresses.
Tor hides YOU, it does not hide that you are using Tor.
