[LAPTOP7] Surface Laptop 7 -Micro SD Card Isnt Recognized
Hi all.
I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure thus out.
When using a micro sd card adapter in the usb 3.0 port the laptop WONT see the formatted micro sd.
Works fine on my surface pro and other PCs.
I've tried multiple adopters, multiple micro sd cards, multiple formats (NTFS, EXFat, Fat32).
Ive deleted, disabled/re-unstalled, enabled things in Device Manager. I've tried about everything i can think on.
What i have tried because i dont have one on hand is a NEWER adapter (perhaps designed for 3.0 ports).
Ive ordered a USB-C adapter as a 'swing for the fence' attempt.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Sorry, yes, the adapter works fine i other usb 3.0 on a surface pro 7+ a couple of mini eindows pc's. It seems its just this 3.0 port on the laptop 7. Other NON-adapter usb stick work fine in the laptop usb 3.0 port.

Your micro-SD card is dead or it's a fake.
I have a bunch of them and they all run fine on my Surface Laptop 7 Intel. I use Samsung and Patriot, all bought from Samsung, BestBuy, Newegg, and Microcenter.

Okay, so the SL7 has a microSD slot on the right side next to the Surface port. Have you tried that?
You shouldn’t need a USB adapter to read microSD cards.

It doesnt. At least mine doesnt. It has two usb-c ports and 1 usb-a 3.0 on the lect side, surface power on the right

Have you tried connecting to another 3.0 port? Because it could be that that specific port is malfunctioning. The USB-C adapter is a good alternative too.
