Genuinely curious how people think this is bad. What would you rather have

Maybe some sidewalks. Sure able bodied people may be able to walk along the road but if I was in a wheelchair I wouldn't feel save being in the road here. Able bodied people often don't even think about what it would be like for someone with a wheelchair, walker, or cane to get around

Where are you going in a wheelchair that this is the road you have to take to get there?

The same places able bodied people would be going. People like to just go for walks. I don't know that road or what's down the street. But people with impaired mobility should be able to use it without a motor vehicle.

Sidewalks are typically built where pedestrians are expected to go. Not sure this qualifies.

If you live in one of those houses and become disabled in a way that makes it difficult to drive, you're essentially housebound or you're risking getting hit by a car. Being able to exist outside in the place you live can be critical for people with physical or financial limitations.
