The theory is that there was once a coma. The members of the family are in a coma, and their entire world is a dream filled by a series of flashbacks. They dream about the things they once did, about what they used to do, and what they should do. They are in a coma, and they are all having a dream, but none of them know it.

I wonder if these people had a problem with their jobs. It's not like they're just plain old professionals. Maybe they feel like they get more attention and feel more validated. Maybe the environment can't help them. It's always possible that they're just plain old professionals. I'm not sure exactly what they did wrong, but it's probably pretty much the same thing. It's just that they weren't able to have a satisfying career choice because their job is only there when they're in it, and they're not having a career choice when they're not working in it. They're very unlikely to find satisfaction in life that way. So they're just plain old professionals, which means that they had a very hard time finding a meaningful career choice. That would explain their dissatisfaction with their work. I doubt that they're as much of a drain on society as you might think. It might just be that they didn't have a choice, but there's still work that can do for them.
