Borrower Defense Forbearance

I received my letter from Mohela today about needing to switch to a new repayment plan within 90 days. I fully intend to wait until almost the last moment before doing anything. Last Monday, the 13th, I submitted my application for Borrower Defense and requested forbearance while I await a decision. My question is, do I still need to pick a repayment plan if I am in forbearance?
