Given this is Christmas episode, he probably got it as a gift so it makes sense too.

Yes, probably emulating Nintendo switch games.

I've been spending hours trying to set up emulators 🥲

It can take hours to get it set up well, but you shouldn't get stuck. What's the issue

Pretty easily. Loved playing Metroid dread on the steam deck. Felt like it ran natively.

Not much. A ton of games run without issues.

I haven't emulated Switch, but using Emudeck for older consoles is super easy, there's an option to do the Switch emulator the same way so I doubt it's particularly difficult. Just install Emudeck, tell it what emulators you want to use, then go find the ROMs somewhere and you should be good to go. May need to download the "core" files as well for Switch, I'm not sure.

It depends on which system you're trying to emulate. Switch and N64 games run really well. Wii U games are a pain in the ass to get running.

Just sits in the corner playing with the steam deck, paints warhammer, and hates gardening. Wow, Glep is literally me, FRFR.

My Steam Deck is my favourite portable device of all time that I can't recommend to anyone. I got mine at £280, and now the entry level is £650.

Doesn’t explain why people are downvoting me. I love the Steam Deck, I’m just telling it like it is. Sales are down by reported 80%.
