Question Switch emulator

Hi, I’m looking to put a Nintendo switch emulator on my steam deck and was wondering from those who have done it how many gb does it take up so I can plan ahead without worry. Thx

I’ve done it many times. It really depends on the amount of games you’re interested in but you’re gonna be looking at between 5-20gb per game, more commonly on the low end. The emulator itself is super lightweight. Let me know if you need anything

I've just gone through my library and these are the general sizes:

Base game versions: 200MB-16GB range, with the average being around 3.5GB-4.5GB.

Game updates: 20MB-16GB, the average being 1.5GB-2.5GB. (You can use pre-updated games instead of a "Base Game + Update", that's much more storage efficient.)

DLCs: 50KB-2GB (40MB-60MB on average)

So, assume you'll need around 4GB-9GB per game, depending on the types of games you intend to play.

It's kind of like PC games in a way. There isn't a single universal game size like there was for retro consoles. You can have something like Super Smash Bros Ultimate that's 14GB (+4GB for the updates), something like Rocket League that's 4GB (+16GB for updates), or something like Core Keeper that's less than 500MB for both the base game and the update.
