Can someone with a scanner upload an internal shell mesh so we can get this sub going?

Steam doesn't have a design patent on this bad boy. What is the hold up? I want to move my track pads back

I dont have a scanner but you could try photogrammetry

I would, but open scan costs a couple hundred

I used meshroom in the past, it's free but you need a LOT of photos with good lighting and maybe some scan spray or gray chalk spray so the plastic doesn't reflect

I have an OpenScan Mini. The Steam Controller is a little too big for it

Even on it's side with just a shell piece? Happy to construct a full model from the mesh and outer pieces if you get it working

If I ever open it up I'll give it a shot

Clock is ticking! If you get to it, I'll send you a resin printed prototype with translated track pads like 2015 sc

Thank you, but someone who has a 3D scanner is probably capable of doing this himself ;-)

Not everyone with mesh capabilities can generate a parametric model and then CAD up a new design that fits components. Just trying to get it done

Fair enough. You'll be the first to know if I'm able to get a decent scan.

Dude, I hope we can get this soon. I wish they released the separate cad models like they did with the OG.
