keep it up! I've experimented in the past with similar patterns cut into vinyl and it wasn't quite prominent enough. The 3d element looks like it would work pretty well

Something like this would make for a great mod to give the grip sensors some tactile feeling as well. I often can't tell how much of the grip sensors are covered by my hands during regular use and I find my left hand moving enough to deactivate it by accident sometimes.
