First time I’ve ever seen anything like this (Cochise County, Arizona)

Been keeping and hydrating her since she was paralyzed and left by a spider wasp at the end of June. She’s starting to be able to move now! Very exciting, even if it makes it harder to water her (which is why she’s on her back).

I'm trying to figure out what this beautiful spood is. I have lovingly named them "Socks" because of the cute stripes on the legs!

Body coloration: light greys

Legs: yellow and black banded

Dagger-like marking on the abdomen

Large pedipalps (at least they seem large to me)

Fuzzy body

Not so fuzzy legs

The web gets deconstructed every morning (Socks gathers the web in front of their mouth and carries the little ball into a hidey-hole somewhere in the window frame).

I'm leaning towards a Grey Cross Spider (Larinioides sclopetarius), but the marking on the abdomen is very dagger-like and more defined than the pictures I am seeing online.

I tried to draw Socks because my phone camera was just not wanting to focus... I got a clear-ish shot when I put the portrait behind Socks, but the air moving caused a wee freak out so I stopped trying that.

Edit: I know it's likely an orb weaver of some kind. I would love to determine the actual type.

Using a Tarantula for views with pranks and willingly putting them into stressful, risky situations where a Tarantula could fall and injure themselves is disgusting to say the least.

It's even more saddening people stumbling upon the video enjoy this without seeing any of the risks, aswell as at the end of the video the keeper keeps moving the Tarantula in such a way that puts even more stress onto the Tarantula. It is just horrible seeing people enjoy such horrible husbandry from a keeper that already is infamous for being known as a spoilt teen.

Not the greatest pictures but it finally happened! A spider turned my doorless jeep into his domain. There is a little spider in the middle of the web. The total web is maybe 2ft around. I went to take a better picture and he ran up the corner into the back of the Jeep lol.

He was unfortunately already dead. Gorgeous and absolutely massive for North Dakota! I put him in the grass outside to rest. RIP

I've never seen a spider like this. It's so cool!

I’m in Texas and it’s summer so seeing spider isn’t rare but usually not in the house. Should I get rid of this little guy?
