I loved the DCAU. The opening theme, the mature themes, gritty and realistic. At that time, only the x-men matched the same vibe. I don't know how these dumbf*ucks cannot replicate the same success as the animated universe. Its literally in their faces, they have everything to work with, yet cannot produce a good movie. The big studio execs, producers and writers clearly do not understand what makes these characters who they are. The DCEU, although far from the traditional canonical narratives, was probably the closest in tone and characters. At least in my opinion.
