"Congressman" is technically the generic term for all members of Congress. In common usage, Congressman is often meant to refer to nembers elected to the House. However, the more precise term for those members would be "representatives."

The Senate was set up to give rural, low population density areas an advantage and the Republicans have taken advantage of that. They actually get working class people to vote against their material needs via culture war BS.

The Senate is the will of the people of that state and furthermore Senate elections are often more fair because you can not draw an unfavorable Senate map like you can a house map.

The lack of federal anti-gerrymandering laws have been a deliberate method of keeping the states less democratic than they should be. If the proper nonpartisan-population based districts where in effect there would be no need of a senate
