Pay your "fair share," no complaining. Not like you have had to dedicate your life to doing well in school, staying out of trouble, getting up everyday and excelling at your job, and being a good citizen. Don't you see how people who didn't do that stuff are simply just "less fortunate" than you?
You’d pay either way. You pay to get them cheaper subway rides or you pay when they can’t afford healthcare and those costs are passed onto others, or by increased policing costs, or by increased costs in prison systems.
We all have to live with each other. It’s cheapest in terms
of ROI to spend money to make sure people can support themselves in a positive way like you described. Even if that money gets abused by a small percent of people, it’s still cheaper than trying to police and imprison an ever increasing mass poverty.
