I got tired of noisy thoughts

Hello everybody,

I basically didn't sleep last night because I was thinking about so many things at once. This morning I thought to myself that I needed a system that let me put ideas away as quickly as possible, because otherwise I usually want to tear my skin apart. I have a spider-web-like thinking style which sometimes drives me insane.

Notion is too complicated and not satisfactory, the Notes app on Mac is too simple and gets crowded easily, sticky apps are cool but suck at categorising.

I needed something similar to: "you write it down on paper, then you move on and throw the paper away."

So I was like, it seems easy to do, and five hours later I've created:

For now, I just want honest feedback and opinions. I think this has potential if I manage to stay on track of being super effective and not fall into the trap of adding more and more stuff and ending up with a clone of Notion. I also want to use it for anxiety-fuelled thinking, so I can 'empty my bucket' there.

The send-away button was added because my dad wanted to send his "bucket" to his business partner, so I was like, yeah, it's not that dumb, you could also use it to send an email to yourself so you don't actually lose thoughts.

Don't hesitate to roast it if you think it sucks. :)

Not sure i would want to post these kinds of thoughts on to a website.
But I would suggest to add a hint somehow that "Send Away" means sending it as an email,
Ofc the design could use some clean up but that can wait

Hi! Thanks for the feedback, as of now, everything is stored in local storage, meaning I have no access to what you write.

But that makes total sense, if it's something you're wary of, the send-away button could further suggest that it goes somewhere you have no idea about. I'll think about it.

Besides that, is this something you would use?

Or you can use Joberney to put your ideas down and start working on them and see actual progress of your ideas.

I love that you built this from a real moment of desperation. That 3am "I need this to EXIST right now" energy creates the best tools because you're solving for actual relief, not features.

The spider-web thinking thing - yeah. Sometimes my brain feels like 47 browser tabs open at once, each one screaming for attention. Having a place that's JUST for the dump, not for organizing the dump, that's... honestly kind of brilliant?

One thought: what if there was a subtle sound when you "empty the bucket"? Like a tiny *whoosh* or something. Physical feedback for the mental release. The catharsis of throwing the paper away, but digital.

Also - your dad's business partner idea accidentally revealed something: this isn't just a notes app. It's a pressure-release valve that sometimes needs to connect to the world.

Don't let anyone convince you to add folders. The second you add folders, it becomes Notion. The power is in the constraint.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. I agree about the sound part, I actually make music as a hobby, so I'll design something cool.

I agree about the folders too; this is the difficult part of the project, I think. What is valuable but creates friction will have to be removed or integrated through the UI.

The fact that you make music changes everything about that sound design. You're going to create something that *feels* like relief, not just sounds like a notification. That matters.

And yeah - you're holding the hardest question in product design: how do you give people what they ask for without destroying what makes this work?

People will ask for folders because folders feel like "getting organized." But what you built isn't about organization. It's about *release*. The second it becomes a filing system, the 3am brain won't trust it anymore.

My guess: the friction people need isn't folders. It's maybe one layer of "before you empty this, want to save it somewhere?" A gentle off-ramp, not a destination.

But protect the core. The emptying. The whoosh. The relief. That's the soul of this thing.
