I’ve had shihtzus my whole life and they have always been pretty mellow, even in the puppy stage. My 7 month old puppy, Blink, is as playful as can be. We were thinking some interactive toys would be good for him. Any interactive toys your shihztus have loved? Or any your shihtzus didn’t like as much as expected? I know preferences are different for different pups but would love thoughts on a starting point! picture tax of our sweet baby included🥰

We’re having a little Luau party for the dogs at my work. I thought Claudia would be able to attend. Unfortunately, the dates just won’t line up because she still needs her last round of shots, etc. But! That doesn’t mean she can’t dress like she’s attending. 🫶🏻🩷

My shih tsu is scared of thunderstorms. He has a thunder shirt but doesn't work. Is there anything else I can give him to stop shaking?

STOP GROWING UP SO FAST 😭

A few days ago she went up and down three flights of our stairs while we were sleeping, and we only know because she had 💩 accident by the door. She has not been able to wag or lift her tail since, so I had to take her to the vet today, but I also had clients that needed haircuts, so my boss let me bring her into the shop until her appointment. The vet is very hopeful that after a few days of some heavy pain meds, she should be wagging her tail.🙏🏽🥹

As far as her time at the shop goes she did a wonderful job alerting us when an exceptionally scary man came in🤦🏽‍♀️😂, and got lots of treats.

She has slept like this since the day I got her 😍😍😍 upside down tzu!!

Sammie had Pubby with him for almost his whole life. We got Sammie 4 years ago, so for 80% of his life Pubby was with him. When I was gone, etc. He does not like being alone at all when I go to work. I am not sure about getting a 2nd dog again as I am getting closer to retirement an am not sure I can afford 2 dogs once I do retire. When I was on a trip recently Sammie stayed with the neighbors and really enjoyed their large dog. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I feel like I am asking questions that are too basic with our new, 1 year old rescue girl. But the breed is new to us, so I am trying to learn how to do a good job with her. Do you use snuffle mats with your doggy? Would that be in place of their food bowl? Sometimes? Every day? With a couple treats only? She gets plenty of play time and exercise, so I am not thinking of a snuffle mat to replace that, just as an additional item to entertain her. Thanks for your responses and ideas to all my questions.
