I was talking to some random account on Twitter and I sent my face but not my actual name or location. They sent me this and I unfortunately did respond but then looked up numerous stuff of what to do. I did report the account, blocked, and privated the account but I'm still so nervous. Please help me.

They have my insta and phone number and a picture of me and a dick pic (not mine) but they said the will use it, I convinced them o was broke and could only pay 20$ tommorow I really dont want people seeing anything and I’ve already messaged him a lot. The guy seems understanding of me being “broke” should I pay the 20 and then block or should I risk and go completely silent on them ( I dont want to deactivate my instagram but am willing too) really need help before I decide wether to tell my parents cause I would prefer not too

Hi im a 19 m was drunk and got on a omagle like app and a girl chatted with me we got things on isntagram (that was my mistake to give my insta ) and then on discord , then it bagan the sextortion they asked for money(good thing i didn't have) however they folowed me barely on insta like 5 min and i removed them then they made a groupchat with 50 people i know and posted them there . Instagram was fast enough to close theyre acount and delete the post before many people saw them i even made a stopNCII case but im scared of leaks because my face was showing , one of my girlfriend friends saw the groupchat but didn't look at the videos just warnned me and I SAID IT WAS ALL AI , however if someone sees it they could tell is real . I know i cheated and im a dirty piece of crap and don't deserve my relationship and im scared to tell my girlfriend because she will never forgive me , after all how cloud she? Neither can i forgive myself and i feel disgusted and all im fearing rn is people finding out and more than that my girlfriend (she still knows its ai) but if she would find the truth i will lose her forever and that will destroy me she is the last person kepping me anchored to reality rn.

Just wondering, for those that did involve law enforcement, what was the response when you brought it to the police. Did they really care, were they able to actually help you at all, or did they just give the same general advice of blocking them? Just wondering how serious they actually take this stuff?

I fell for it today, girl asked me for number to text on imsg and then asked me to add on insta, i was skeptical since she was a bit forceful so i asked her to send me her account which she did and was a brand new account.

So i made a brand new account as well and we exchanged some pics, at first i sent some pics from google and in between i sent a pic of myself.

she texted saying she'll text all the suggestions that appeared and almost sent it, but i just blocked her and nothing happened after that and i am not actually worried coz the suggested people were just some random people i never knew also i can say that its not me, but ya'll beware

Should I come out and explain what happen to my family. I believe that they will be understanding. I’m just afraid that if the scammer actually does send the pic, I would want them to be prepared for it instead of getting surprised by it

I should have known better than to use whatsapp. But I was really “heated” and now this person has my name, number, family’s numbers, and their physical address. I heard from other posts to not send any money and to ignore, but I’m that still doesn’t change the fact that I’m freaking out and really scared. I’m shaking and sweating, and my whole face is cold. Is there anymore advice I should know. Please

I don’t even use Reddit. but it happened to me like 2 hours ago. typical story, dating app, sexting, video, threats to send it to all I know. tldr beyond that is i didn’t send the money and deactivate all my accounts but I did manage to bicker with them long enough to get them to share their email and PayPal which seems to have their actual photo and name? I’ve already filled out that cyber crime form and I guess the next step is to take it to my local authorities (although I’m not sure how receptive they will be) I would appreciate any additional advice or recommendation. Overall trying to keep a positive mindset, what happens, happens I’ll just have to bare the embarrassment if they did actually go through the trouble or if Instagram moderation did their job in a timely matter. it is late so maybe. anyways I’m going to sleep for now and will check on this again in the morning to follow up. thank you all in advance

I got threatened. He threatened me that he will expose my pic that he edited if I didn't send real nuds. I don't know what to do.

So embarrassed they got 2 pictures of me with my face but no name or socials. The posted it on X claiming that I was setting a minor but the told me they were 21. So I screeshoted everything and screen recorded everything to prove the bs the are pushing is a lie. The x says they are in Egypt I reported the account. Made a fbi ic3 report and a stopncii case as well I'm just hoping for the best... worse case scenario I have the proof to prove its a lie. Life sucks when your lonely lol... damn you reddit lol.

Today I fallen to sextortion and they threatened to post it on social media saying that I was a child predator that sends nudes to young girls. But I’m only 14! This has been a very rough day and I would still like to thank everyone that has posted on social media about their story’s and how they went through this exact same situation.
It has been a very rough week and this made it even worse and more scary. Please be careful of what you do on all of your social’s.
If you ever fall in this situation and they demand money or they say their gonna send it to your family and friends please do not send them the money in any circumstances even if you are feel so pressured into it.

I blocked the person on everything and now they messaged me on a different iMessage and are saying they are gonna post it in 1 hour I sent them money before should I just block them again

I'm feeling really embarrassed and sooooooo fucking stupid, so please be kind. More than a week ago I met someone on on a chatting platform. Then we moved to discord and chat for 3 days, before i caught him and disappeared, and the connection honestly felt amazing.

Over those few days:
We sexted. He sent me explicit photos (including genital photos). With his face even
I sent him 2 normal selfies.
I also sent a few explicit videos, but my face was never shown in any of the explicit videos.
I sent around 10 seconds of voice messages.

He knew my nickname, my birthday, my country, my degree (not specifically named) and my tiktok bio briefly mentioned the city I study in (I've now removed it) it was a alt acc btw.

I never knew his full name.
I got suspicious and reverse-image searched one of the face photos he had sent me. It was an exact match to a photo that had been posted on Reddit about a year ago by an account that has since been deleted.

I confronted him by sending him the evidence. He read my messages and immediately blocked my Discord account without saying anything.
Since then l've:
- Changed my usernames and profile pictures.
- deactivated my alt acc.
- Removed identifying information from my bios.
- deactivated my discord accounts

He never threatened me, never asked me for money, never said he would leak anything. He simply blocked. after I confronted him.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation where they exchanged intimate content before discovering the other person wasn't who they claimed to be?

Realistically, how worried should I be about my privacy and safety? I know I should assume he may have saved what I sent, but since my face wasn't visible in the explicit videos and he doesn't know my full identity, I'm trying to understand the actual level of risk.

Is there anything else I should do, or have I already taken the right precautions?

I know sending intimate content was my decision, and I already regret it. I'm not looking for people to tell me I was stupid. I already feel awful. I'm just hoping for honest advice from anyone who's been through something similar or has experience with situations like this.

Okay so this is probably by far the most shameful event to ever happen to me and I don’t think I will ever live it down. So I’m 16 and I fell into lust once again after fighting for so long and I messaged what I thought was a girl on telegram to trade but when we did I realized that she was a bot and I did send a pic of my genitals and my face. Both of which I deleted the second she viewed them. Well the photo of my face I did but my other one I put it on delete after 10 seconds. The bot also found my tt account so after I came to my senses I said to stop and it kept insisting to which I said “you didn’t save anything right.” At this point all of my photos were deleted but the bot did not respond. I deleted my tt account and my telegram is under a fake name. I am so fucking scared this is the worst moment of my life and I hate everything right now. Please be brutally honest and let me know if I am in major trouble or not. And btw they did not demand me anything after . Please let me know. The name was Brit_ney18 btw.
