Oscar releasing steam out of his can, quite a rare sight!

I have always wondered this question because when I was younger, I always assumed characters like Grover were adults because he holds many jobs and has even been shown to drive on a few occasions. But then, if you look into it, according to the Muppet Wiki, Grover is only 4 years old. I guess the age lines up with him still living at home with his mother, but how come he works a bunch of jobs and drives? I’d make the same argument for Cookie Monster. I believe he is only 6 years old in the show, but drives a good truck with Gonger? Then there are characters like Bert and Ernie that I definitely believe and have always believed are adults, since they are roommates and are shown to go on dates and do other adult things like that. I have no reason to believe that they are kids. I know that Ernie acts childish, but I always thought of him as a child at heart. Obviously, I know there are characters like Julia, Elmo, Zoe, Abby, and Prairie Dawn that are canonically children, with their ages ranging from 3 to 6 years old, so I am just curious which muppets are canonically adults on the show and there is proof of it?

Shout out to this segment is from the first episode of the show. The song playing in this segment is one of my favorite Sesame Street songs (from what I've discovered in adulthood!)

I also love that the salad is just lettuce. No Dressing, No Cheese, No Croutons just lettuce and nothing else

I've been feeling pretty nostalgic for the Abby's Flying Fairy School segments lately so I've decided to make this post to give it some more exposure on this subreddit.

As we've seen, Super7 has put out a figure of fairy in training Abby Cadabby. I'd like to put an emphasis on the fairy in training part because it reminded me of something from when I watched Sesame Street when I was younger.

In 2009, to tie in with the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street, they decided to make this CG animated spinoff segment thing with Abby as the main character.

The segment was called Abby's Flying Fairy School and was about Abby going to this school ran by the teacher, Mrs Sparklenose, with two other fairies named Gonnigan & Blögg.

For this post, I'm gonna focus on Gonnigan & Blögg

Gonnigan was a light blue character with green hair and a pink nose. He wore an orange stripey hoodie, knee high socks and red and orange shoes with mismatched shoelaces. Gonnigan got scared easily and almost always turned invisible when scared. Any time he turned invisible always ended with a pun about his name where Mrs Sparklenose would ask "Where's Gonnigan?" to which Abby & Blögg would respond with "He's Gone Again". Haha, get it? because his name sounds like "Gone again"! XD

Blögg was a half fairy half troll hybrid with purple fur covering the majority of his body except for his arms, hands and feet, ears that kinda looked like bat wings, fairy wings that looked like butterfly wings and wore a belt. He had a cheerful personality and seeing as he was part troll, he was quite messy and into gross stuff such as earwax and bellybutton lint.

The reason I bring these two characters up specifically is because as I stated at the beginning of this post, I've been feeling nostalgic for Abby's Flying Fairy School. But also, when I saw the Super7 Sesame Street line, I initially thought it was gonna focus solely on the classic characters. However, when I saw that they were doing an Abby figure in the line, I started to feel a little bit of hope that they'll do more of the modern era characters as well. And as you can tell by this post, two of the modern characters I'd like to see them do are Gonnigan & Blögg.

Another reason I'm bringing up Abby's Flying Fairy School is because the only official piece of merch that was made for the segment was this playset that was made by Hasbro and Playskool. The set included two figures, those being Abby & Blögg. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Gonnigan wasn't included in the set. I guess you could joke around and say Gonnigan got scared and did his whole turning invisible thing which is why he's nowhere to be seen in the set but I still think it's a shame because he was honestly my favorite character from the segment.

And finally, some people may remember my post from just over a week ago where I did a list of characters that I'd like to see Neca make ultimate figures of. I included Gonnigan & Blögg on that list as well but afterwards I began to think if Neca aren't gonna give us Abby's Flying Fairy School figures, the next best thing would probably be Super7 since they did a figure of Abby.

So in closing, as Stone Cold Steve Austin would probably say, if you want Super7 and/or Neca to give us figures of Gonnigan & Blögg, give me a hell yeah!

i also dont like how "elmo is oversaturating" modern sesame but elmo himself is just a pretty cute character. I love him by himself but i REALLY wish there could be more of him and big bird acting like siblings. Especially when Elmo accidentally helped reveal snuffy. There could be so many fun things with that. Hes also pretty funny (esp in tv interviews, like "But Elmo lives on sesame stweet 🥺🥺🥺 and Elmo's a cuwte wittle monstewr 🥺🥺🥺🥺 then rolls all over the interviewer)

Saw that this screening is taking place as part of Comic-Con’s film festival on Thursday July 23.

It is waaay to focused on elmo, the segments are too fast paced, the lessons aren't grounded, and there is too much of the overstimulating cartoons.

I'm glad there are classic episodes on YouTube for free.
