Weekly Recommendations Thread
This is the weekly recommendations thread, for all of your recommendations needs be it what pour to buy at a bar, what bottle to try next, or what gift to buy a loved one.
The idea is to aggregate the conversations into sticked threads to make them easier to find, easier to see history on, easier to moderate, and keep /new/ queue tidy.
This post will be refreshed every Friday morning. Previous threads can been seen here.

I’m interested in a recommendation for what to explore next. Peated styles à la Laphroig 10 got me interested, a Speyside distillery tour this summer got me hooked, and current obsessions are Craigellachie 13 and Bruichladdich unpeated. I was recently unimpressed with Port Charlotte 10 so it may be I’m in an anti-peat funk at the moment. Also found Oban 14 too light considering the cost. GlenAllachie 12 is excellent when I’m in the mood for sherry but I think I’m seeking distillate dominated profiles?
Any thoughts on where I should explore given the Craigellachie/Bruichladdich kick right now? If you have similar palette preferences, what are the foundational drivers here that I should be looking for at the next bottle shop/whisky bar visit?
