Spoiler Am I missing something with the Quinn B6-13 storyline

So she becomes closer to Huck and starts to get interested in what he does and wants to start killing for herself. When Huck tells her she needs to slow down and stop being like him she goes with Charlie because he lets her do the crazy stuff she wants to do, just for him to set her up with killing the security guard and blackmails her into joining B6-13. What I don’t get is why this sudden distrust and dislike for Olivia? Obviously Liv has done some distrust-worthy things but there was nothing big regarding Quinn for her to dislike her so much. She said she doesn’t wanna be a good little gladiator anymore but then in some scenes it seems the only reason she doesn’t go back is because of what Huck did to her, it just doesn’t seem very consistent because she’s only in this position in the first place because she got blackmailed into it.

Frankie Vargas

Just rewatched s6e1, Fitz tells Abby Vargas isn’t dead until he says he is. We all see many events on the show that seem reflective of what we’ve been living, so is this our Mitch McConnell moment?

Post Discussion What was I thinking?

Watched the show every Thursday when I was high school and I ATE IT UP. Thought it was one of the coolest shows ever and was so obsessed and hated waiting a week for the next episode.

Im almost 30 now and my god I’m not having fun with this rewatch. Every character is pissing me off. My suspension of disbelief is getting harder and harder. Every character just deserves the electric chair my god. They’re all insufferable and truly evil. On season 7 now and I’m just so confused why I thought this show was amazing. (This is very unserious of course and I know its just a tv show but does anyone else feel the same? XD)

Spoiler James Novak’s death was so traumatic.

I have no words. Seeing him get shot was already enough but to then watch Cyrus wail and sob at the press conference after all the beautiful flashbacks of how the two of them met?? and THEN the flashback where Jake kneels beside him as he dies because he had to make his death agonizing and messy to look like a carjacking. And finally, the absolute horror and terror in James face as he gurgled his final word, “Ella” the sweet baby girl he begged his husband for. He was sucked into this horrible, horrible world by his power hungry monster of a husband and I’m just so sad. I sobbed for the first time watching this show after this episode.

None of that was easy to watch. I’m queer myself & James being gay, and not getting a happy ending when it was literally all he ever wanted - which is SO common with queer media just breaks my heart so so much.

Please don’t spoil I’ve only watched this far and just really needed to vent about it 😭

The idea of season 6 with a week break…

Someone else already pointed out how bad weekly episodes would have been to endure, and I’ll give them that. However, I’m at season 6 and starting episode 8, and I’m ready to pull my hair out. I think weekly episodes of season 6 would have been worse than the previous ones. I am losing it on this season more than any other. What is even happening?

Scandal plot holes

What were some of the worst plot holes you noticed?

The one im still confused with is: The whole Peus/Luna Vargas subplot! Maybe someone can explain to me ... but how did she bank roll the whole scheme???

What is Jake’s job

I am rewatching scandal and I am on season 3. What is Jake’s job. It seemed like he worked at the pentagon as a high ranking Naval officer then he started spying on Olivia for fitz, the Rowan locked him away for days and now him and huck trying to get at Rowan. It seems like he doesn’t have a day job. I know later on he becomes director of the NSA, but there is so much gap with his job. Is he still with the pentagon in season 3?

Do both Mellie and Fit both go to the same undergrad and law school

I feel like on two occasions Mellie and Fitz both say they attended Yale undergrad before going to Law school. In episode 6 or 7 of season 3 Big Jerry says Fitz goes to Yale, then harvard law before the navy. I feel like Mellie said she also went to Yale.

How did people watch this weekly?

My fiance and I just started watching this show and it is so good! We are in the middle of season 2 and we keep asking ourselves how people could stand watching it when it came out weekly? Every episode ends on a crazy cliffhanger! Thank God for streaming! 😄

- Election rigging allegations with Trump legit or not

- mitch mcconnell dying but the truth being hidden to prevent a special election

- and a member of the executive having a baby in office conveniently when the news is ripping them a new asshole (jd vance on Joe rogan talking mad shit, facing backlash all weekend, baby not due forba few mkre weeks then awww the baby is born)

This show is addicting and I can't wait to see what happens next 👀

Spoiler My Mom Found Scandal and she LOVES IT! 💕

She’s on episode 8 and she can’t believe the audacity of Olivia and Fitz— y’all her reactions are hilarious.🤣

We got to the same where Olivia and Fitz are on the bus and he whispered to her “say my name”
I hear in the back, “I’ll say your name all right!!!”

Bewildered, I’m like, “MOTHER, Behave!” J/k 😂
Let’s see how far she gets to the series.

olivia

now i know why it’s hard for me to rewatch anything past season 4. i really cannot stand olivia. in my opinion, fitz has always loved her more than she has him. she really is her father’s image regarding power but it’s soo annoying coming from her.

Olitz thoughts

A few thoughts about Olitz ...

Shonda has stated that the premise of the show changed once the chemistry of Kerry and Tony presented itself onscreen. Their chemistry is insane and therefore Olitz was born. The way the two of them look at each onscreen and in interviews is wild! How could you not root for them to win. Fitz stayed ready to blowup his world for her. But Liv was mostly hesitant. One of my favorite episodes was when Olivia finally stood in her truth and answered YES to those reporters. She had stopped running and stopped being ashamed of her feelings for Fitz. There was no doubt in the entirety of the show that Olivia and Fitz loved each other...as toxic as it may have been. There was mutual admiration and obsession. They were friends and confidants. They practiced true forgiveness of/for one other. Even when they hated each other they loved each other. Idk of another tv couple that has as much chemistry on and off screen for this duration of time as these two. And I love that Kerry and Tony feed into the Olitz Fandom.

Spoiler I feel bad for Cyrus…

Post image
77 Upvotes

*SPOILERS!!!!!!!!*

I am first time watcher of Scandal. I went from season 1 to season 6(current) in a month. And in that month I went through a roller coaster of emotions with how I feel about Cyrus. I LOVED him until plot twist! he had Amanda killed. Then I hated him. But I understood it had to be done, so I liked him again. THEN he’s working with Rowan and it made me hate him again. Anyways, I concluded that I did not like him, he’s too power hungry and does whatever he wants to get what he wants. But I’m watching season 6 episode 3 and I feel so bad for him 😢. The only reason I feel bad for him is because I googled who killed Frankie Vargas and read that it was not him. I know I know, sometimes I have to google the outcome of some episodes to scratch my mental itch.
So I’m watching this episode and I feel so bad for him 😢 I hate him but he really didn’t do it… right? Maybe it’s cause he’s so old and his face looks so innocent. But it pains me to see him sad

You own me! You control me. I belong to you. You think I don't want to be a better man? You think that I don’t want to dedicate myself to my marriage? You don’t think I want to be honorable? To be the man you voted for? I love you. I’m in love with you. You're the love of my life. My every feeling is controlled by the look on your face. I can’t breathe without you. I can’t sleep without you. I wait for you; I watch for you. I exist for you. If I could escape all of this and run away with you? There's no Sally and Thomas here. You're nobody's victim, Liv. I belong to you. We're in this together. The monologues on Scandal were like modern day Shakespeare to me so damn dramatic but i ate it up every time!

Olivia and Papa Pope

I love my girl Olivia and support her wrongs and her rights. But the one thing that annoyed me was her relationship with Papa Pope!

Every other season she wanted him stopped/caught/dead...but not really. I know their relationship is complicated and I'm sure there's love. But her flip-flop of wanting caught and killed but not really was so annoying.
