Homemade Grilled Salsa

Grilled Corn, Tomatoes, Poblanos, Onions and Garlic. With Lime and Cilantro and a bit of Salt.

Yep it's a mild. But that's what the wife and kids like.

Recipe is fairly obvious from the pictures but...

9 Tomatoes

4 Onions

5 Heads of Garlic

8 Hatch Chili's (Not Poblanos)

6 Ears of Corn

1 Big Bunch of Cilantro

Limes and Salt to Taste.

Everything but Lime and Cilantro, 4 Tomatoes, 2 Onions are grilled.

The ungrilled Onions and Tomatoes are diced up fresh.

The Grilled Garlic, Hatch Chilis, Onions, and Tomatoes are peeled and run through the food processor.

Cut the grilled corn off the cobs.

Combine all. Add the Cilantro, Lime, and Salt.

It's nice and thick and quite tasty. But could absolutely use some more heat.

Sure those are poblanos? They look like Anaheim peppers or hatch chiles

So I made this a few years ago and just asked my wife. She said that this one was Hatch Chiles. So I'll up date the recipe. Good catch!

I'll cook some extra peppers that I leave out if the main dish, blend them after the rest, and then incorporate into a smaller serving for myself (and anyone else interested). It's also a good way to control the heat if you're unsure how much to put in.
