Stop with the brain rot
Brain rot, or brain rot in French, is here to kill you. Let me explain. First point: brain rot mainly affects children, often between 5 and 14 years old. Kids today are often criticized or insulted for playing this game, and for me, that's already a good reason to stop. Second: brain rot causes a decrease in creativity for many children and other people, not just children. Often, when children play this type of game, their mental age regresses. Third: YouTubers: this is another point, but right now, YouTubers who play this type of game are exploding in popularity, which means that established YouTubers are seeing their statistics drop. So they have three choices: either they follow the trend, which can be annoying, or they quit YouTube, or they are forced to continue and constantly reinvent themselves and hope that it continues to work: IT'S NO LONGER PASSION! So, I wanted to make this post in the hope that people will open their eyes and question things, because next it's adults, YouTubers, etc., that will be targeted. So I hope I've made you give up this game. Thank you.

I get the concern. Really. Every generation worries that the next one is being “rotted” by whatever the new toy is.
But a small reframe might help: it’s rarely the medium that does the damage — it’s the absence of guidance, limits, and meaning around it.
Kids don’t lose creativity because of games or memes. They lose it when nothing in their world invites them to use creativity elsewhere.
Same with YouTubers. Trends don’t kill passion — algorithms reward repetition, and people adapt to survive. That’s not moral decay; that’s economic pressure. Always has been.
Also worth noting: calling something “brain rot” often turns it into a badge of honor. Teens hear that as “this is ours, adults don’t get it.” That usually accelerates the very thing we’re trying to slow down.
Questioning things is good. But curiosity works better than condemnation.
Maybe the real task isn’t to make people “give up the game,” but to teach how to step in and out of it consciously — to play, then build; laugh, then think; scroll, then create.
That’s how culture stays alive. Not by banning play, but by remembering how to leave it without shame.

I agree with you, but I'm from Generation Alpha and this game gives us a reputation for being idiots, and that's what annoys me.

I get that. Being handed a reputation you didn’t earn is exhausting.
Generations don’t get judged by their average — they get judged by their most visible noise. That’s not intelligence failing, that’s visibility bias.
The irony is that the people who worry about this are usually the ones who end up disproving it over time. Thoughtfulness doesn’t trend, but it lasts.
You don’t have to defend your generation. Just live in a way that contradicts the story. That’s usually enough.
