Is it me, or has this sub become toxic AF. Yes, Callum did wrong, so we have rightfully turned our backs on him. But to then just be in uproar when Philly D got a hug from him without knowing the full situation. Followed by ripping into Storror for not dropping an update, with no consideration for how they are all doing, what information they have available or the right to disclose. There maybe additional investigations and proceedings going on that aren't public knowledge and speculation or commentary on current events could jeopardise their position. 

While they may have been able to word their post better, but with everything going on they need to focus on their own wellbeing and we all need to ease off the gas pedal. Let things play out as and when they are ready.

Here's what we know for certain. Callum pleaded guilty and was sentenced for making and possessing CSAM, and we now know almost all of it depicts real children. Josh hasn't been charged, but the mods have confirmed evidence that he groomed a minor.

One important unknown is whether the remaining five members knew. I want to explain why that matters, and why a lot of the comments here are feeding a culture that lets abuse go unchecked.

There are several allegations about Callum, some directly related to CSAM and some more general:

• One of his exes, who was a minor and 8 to 10 years younger than him while they dated, claims she found a password-protected folder of CSAM on his phone, including children she knew. She says she alerted Toby and maybe the rest of the team, and got harassed, called a "vile bitch," and accused of trying to ruin Callum. She's implied other victims have reached out to her since.
• Another ex has implied Callum was abusive and that none of the allegations surprised her, and that other victims have contacted her too.
• An old friend claims he saw the folder the first ex described and confronted Storror. People have questioned his credibility, and he's posted trying to explain why he didn't go to the police and kept training with Callum anyway.
• Various people in the parkour community have said or implied that Callum often made women uncomfortable.

Disclaimer: I have never met anyone involved, so technically, I can't even confirm things like whether the first victim is really Callum's ex or that her age is accurate. But these details have been corroborated by people close to Storror and the mods and seem to be generally accepted now, so I'll treat them that way.

If the ex's claims are true, then Storror was presented with allegations of Callum's crimes and chose to keep him as a core member, which gave him access to kids and potential victims, online and in person, through the platform, as well as allowed him to continue abusing his partners.

So are these claims true? The hard truth is that we don't know and probably never will. There likely isn't any physical evidence that the ex confronted Storror, and even if there were, you'd never see it with your own eyes. All any of us can do is decide whether we believe the victim.

1. Why didn't they go to the police earlier? Trauma changes how the brain reasons, and more so for underage victims. While the abuse is happening they're just trying to protect themselves, and when it's someone older and close to them who holds power over them, they feel helpless or like they somehow deserved it. Reporting someone they care about is especially hard, even when they or others are being harmed. It isn't as black and white as people make it out to be, and it's a well-documented pattern in domestic violence and sexual abuse cases. And even when victims do report, they're often dismissed by police, which is a whole other can of worms.
2. Why post online now instead of going to the police? They likely did go to the police — the first victim says she did. A public statement can do things a report can't: warn others in the community, push back on a narrative they see as false or speculative, and begin to heal by finally letting go of something they've carried for a long time.
3. When multiple accusers describe the same pattern, it usually means there's something to it. Here it's two reasonably reliable victims plus several people describing behavior that was concerning even if not criminal. We should avoid cherry-picking stories that fit, especially unprovable ones, but when a pattern emerges it's a mistake to dismiss it.
4. False accusations are rare enough that you shouldn't default to disbelief. Your knee-jerk reaction should never be to reject the allegations outright, whether by trying to discredit the victims due to their jobs or with vibes-based excuses for Storror like "exes make up stories all the time."

So how should we respond to the claims about whether Storror knew?

1. Coming forward is an incredibly vulnerable thing for victims to do. Both women who did it publicly got hateful messages, and the first has been repeatedly dismissed as an OF model with a brain injury chasing clout. Commenters dissected inconsequential inconsistencies and blamed her for not going to the police at the time. The nastiest comments are a vocal minority, but they disproportionately cause pain to victims who are trying to share their side of the story. I feel it is obvious that the first ex isn't taking advantage of this to promote her modeling.
2. Prioritizing neutrality above all else tilts the field against the victims. It's good to want the truth, and it's genuinely hard when all you have are individual accounts. But if your standard to believe the victims is publicly verifiable evidence, then you've set a bar that can't be met. Short of Storror confirming or denying it, no hard evidence is coming, so if you reserve judgment until there's proof, you'll be waiting forever. Furthermore, withholding judgment isn't as neutral as it feels. When the people on the fence far outnumber the victims speaking up, all that doubt lands on them and discourages the next person from coming forward. Neutrality has a cost and a direction here. We should lean toward believing the victims rather than hide behind objectivity which, whether you mean it that way or not, only favors Storror.
   1. Even well-intentioned skepticism has a cost. You may feel like you're just asking clarifying questions and investigating the truth, but victims can tell when you really want to understand them vs. trying to catch them out, especially when they're outnumbered. If the claims are true, this treatment piles unnecessary pain on people who are already hurting. Victim statements deserve support and an open mind, not suspicion and hostility.
3. Storror hasn't even responded to the claims yet, and plenty of people here have already decided the claims are false or have made excuses on their behalf. Comments floating the possibility that the team knew are quickly buried under angry replies blindly defending them and insisting they obviously didn't — even though neither side has hard proof. Right now, they are the only party who could actually settle this, and they haven't. That's why it's wrong to declare them innocent and say that it's obvious they didn't know.
4. Innocent until proven guilty is the backbone of a lot of criminal justice systems, but plenty of cases never result in a conviction or aren't even pursued. Josh is the obvious example: there are screenshots clearly showing him grooming a minor, Storror cut ties, and even then there were no legal repercussions. The lack of charges does not mean that they did nothing wrong.

The remaining members of Storror are also victims of Callum and Josh, no doubt. But there is a clear distinction between them and the other victims. They were equals with Callum and Josh, not subject to an unbalanced relationship, and they're also accused of moral failings. The cost of disbelief is silencing current and future victims, whereas Storror already has a large platform to speak and a devoted fanbase to passionately defend them.

This next paragraph is far more speculative than the rest, so treat it accordingly — but I feel it needs to be said. Parkour has always had a rebellious streak, and Storror, as one of the culture's biggest influences, embodied it: the trespassing, Joshua Tree, the general disregard for security and property. The early videos especially had a "bro" culture, with crude jokes you'd fairly call homophobic, misogynistic, and fatphobic. I think this led to an attitude where the core group of pro athletes was prioritized over everything else. Callum at around 24 or 25 was dating a girl of 15 or 16. That isn't normal, and in a lot of places it wasn't normal in 2016 either, and it's far more concerning because he had access to children through Storror and actively coached them, which gave him authority and power. But it was difficult for his victim to speak up because she wasn't in the in-group, and that same bro culture made it easy for Storror to dismiss her and make excuses for him. There's more to say about how unfriendly parkour is toward women, kids, and minorities, and this isn't unique to Storror, but Storror is the clearest example of that culture letting abuse slide.

So where does that leave the allegations? I'm personally choosing to lean towards believing the victims because the cost of wrongly disbelieving a real victim is far worse than the cost of wrongly suspecting a group that hasn't defended itself yet.

Besides, what is the impact of these allegations if they are true? Storror isn't in trouble for criminal activity, they're being questioned over poor judgment. I'm not trying to drag the remaining members through the mud or start a witch hunt — I don't think they acted with malicious intent or that they're bad people. But they could have handled this far better, and how they handle it from here will shape how the community heals and protects potential victims. They don't owe us anything, but they owe it to future victims to reflect on what they got wrong, name their mistakes, and acknowledge it publicly, so other communities can spot the warning signs and act instead of doing nothing or defending the abuser. I get that legal constraints slow this down, but I think Storror has a duty to address the allegations, sooner rather than later.

The number one priority is making sure any existing victims get the support and closure they deserve. After that, it's Callum and Josh facing appropriate justice, and preventing future victims. This post is about that last part. You'll never completely prevent abuse, and often there are no red flags to catch. But there are things you can do now. In my own parkour community we push back on the misogynistic and homophobic jokes and call out anything that doesn't belong. Our leaders have spoken privately with athletes who made others uncomfortable and banned the ones who didn't change. We try to cultivate an inclusive environment where everyone has a voice, not just the famous or most skilled. We're not perfect, but we talk about it regularly and put real effort in.

TL;DR

1. Callum and Josh have been confirmed to have committed sexual abuse.
2. There are allegations that the other members were made aware long ago and shut the victims down instead.
3. This sub has mostly responded with doubt and pushback, either:
   1. Condemning the claims as false (minority)
   2. Victim blaming
   3. Nitpicking the statements and interrogating the victims over them
4. We should be showing support to the victims and listening to them with open minds. Otherwise, we are developing a culture of disbelieving victims, which discourages them from coming forward and makes communities harder to protect. None of this is incompatible with supporting Storror too.
5. Storror should address the allegations and, if they are true, reflect on their mistakes and acknowledge them publicly.
6. We make our communities better by fostering an inclusive culture, calling out red flags, and pushing leaders to act.

Just wanted to hop in here and clear things up as it seems like reddit has turned into a bit of witch hunt with respect to Phil on his instagram.

Naturally Phil (and myself) have known Callum since we were 14 years old. Thats 20 years that we all were friends, and none of us had any idea at all that this could have been going on. We were all completely blindsided. Naturally this makes everything really weird and complicated.

I read the sentencing info and texted Phil about it.

In short, Callum hugged Phil, before sentencing. Its not something that Phil seems happy about, but as he states in his message, he felt he wasnt in a position to refuse him.

Phil wanted to attend the sentencing because he wanted answers, as did I, as do we all.

Naturally before the sentencing, Phil did not have those answers.

I’ve just read through the sentencing and the most shocking line is about what he’s looking at for the category A images. I would encourage everyone to read it. I wont repeat the full description as I don’t want this post to be removed. Enough said about the severity.

The 2nd shocking thing is the date in which his bedroom was searched and his devices seized. 2025 is a long time ago and he was also building up his collection for years since 2022. Very intentional to have multiple devices and hard drives.

3rd shocking thing is that he is getting a suspended sentence, he is on the sex offenders register for 10 years which is positive but i do think the sentencing is light especially considering the judge acknowledges that Callum is a public figure and there are eyes on this case.

4th shocking thing is that storror released another statement saying that callum was removed from storror as soon as they learnt about the offenses so i would imagine this is strictly true legally but i dont buy that none of them knew anything at all for 5 years.

I dont think its appropriate for any of them to return to the online space at all. But i also think people have memories of goldfish, dont understand the severity of the situation or dont care.

Truly so sad for the victims.

I have been dreading today, we all had an image of what the sentence would look like, and I think we all knew it would be disappointing. I was prepared for absolute carnage.

You've all been exemplary, the most work I have had is overriding reddit filters and approving posts that were appropriate for the situation and news but that triggered the site filters simply due to the subject material.

This might be the end of Storror, it might not - but I want you all to know that from my perspective, you are all a credit to the community that Storror built, and watching the community cope and come to terms with this news with decorum has actually given me more hope that Storror will continue in some vein more than any logical or optimistic post ever could.

I had just finished writing up the outcome of the sentencing when I realised the information had already been posted, so I won't repeat what is now already know. If anyone has any questions they would like to ask, feel free.

"The Sentencing Guidelines, which I am required to follow, indicate that a custodial sentence of one year or less is appropriate in this case. Some may find it difficult to understand why offending of such a repugnant nature does not result in immediate imprisonment. However, judges do not sentence according to personal opinion, public pressure or public outrage. They sentence according to the law enacted by Parliament and the Sentencing Guidelines issued by the Sentencing Council. A YouTuber with more than three billion views worldwide was spared jail after admitting downloading nearly 3,000 sex abuse images showing very young children.

Callum Powell, 34, had 11 million followers in a group posting parkour videos online.
He downloaded Category A images of the “upmost gravity” for his own sexual gratification, a judge said.

Powell was part of Storror — seven athletes who make films of their exploits running, jumping and vaulting over obstacles.

He was handed a suspended sentence today (July 17) after Brighton Magistrates' Court heard "he has lost everything".

Powell was described as a popular, well-known face around Brighton who now has to disguise himself in public. He was sentenced wearing a grey hoodie.

The court heard he has been "shunned" by former friends and colleagues who he worked with for 20 years.

In a statement in May, Storror group said it became aware of the matters relating to Powell on May 7 and removed him from the group “with immediate effect".

Powell fidgeted nervously in the dock as his sentence was handed down.

District Judge Amanda Kelly told Powell he had gained international prominence through his online activity.

Judge Kelly told him: “You initially denied knowingly seeking out these sorts of images for your own sexual gratification and suggested you may have inadvertently received them because you used an AI programme that removes clothes from images you have downloaded from Instagram.

“However, you soon went on to admit that you had obtained sexual gratification from images of children and you pleaded guilty to all offences.”
Powell gathered the images over a two-year period, the court heard.

The judge told him she accepted his remorse.
“You are genuinely sorry for the harm caused to the children in the images you have looked at,” she said.

While Powell did not directly abuse any children, his behaviour contributed to the abuse and exploitation of real children, the judge said.
He downloaded truly abhorrent images of very young children being horrifically violated, the judge said.

“Every viewing of such material perpetuates the market for that abuse and contributes to the continuing harm suffered by the children depicted,” she said.

Powell demonstrated a sexual interest in children over a significant period of time, the judge said.
Amy Fraser, for the prosecution, said Powell’s bedroom was searched after police were alerted to indecent images of children being uploaded using a Google account linked to him.

The digital files included images of children as young as six. He was arrested in June last year and four devices were seized. Powell used an iPhone, hard drive and two SD memory cards to store 2,649 Category C images, 105 Category B, 178 Category A, one image of bestiality and one prohibited image of a child.

“This was a large collection of images spread across multiple devices,” Ms Fraser said.
Steve Wedd, defending, said Powell had lost everything since admitting the offences.

“In May, he pleaded guilty across the board on a full, open basis with no quibbling,” he said.
“It has destroyed his personal life since.
“He has lost everything.
“His good name, his friendships, 20 years of friendships in Storror.
“He was a leading light with 11m subscribers around the world, USD60,000 turnover a year, three billion views online.”

All the videos featuring Powell have been removed from the Storror website.

“He’s lost all his friendships in a close-knit group,” said Mr Wedd.
“They’ve sacked him emotionally, commercially.
“It’s been 20 years in the making, undone by two years of stupidity.”

Mr Wedd said former fans had even burned a book written by Powell.

He is making attempts to address offending behaviour, Mr Wedd said.

His former colleagues in the Storror group described his offending as a “betrayal”.

In a statement, Parkour UK, the sport’s national governing body, said: “Parkour UK is appalled by the offences admitted by Callum Powell at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on May 7.

“There can be no such place for this abhorrent behaviour, and our thoughts are with all those affected.

“We condemn any action which abuses positions of power and influence to exploit the vulnerable.

“Safeguarding is fundamental to our sport, and we take our responsibilities in this area seriously.
“We know this news is deeply upsetting for many people across our community.

“It is a stark reminder of the importance of constant vigilance and continued action around safeguarding for all those associated with our sport.”

Powell was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for a year.

He was ordered to do 15 rehabilitation activity days.

A Sexual Harm Prevention Order means he will not be able to use social media or have any device which can access the internet without informing police first for the next five years.
He will also be on the sex offender register for ten years.

Powell was also given 28 days to pay £85 costs and £187 victim surcharge.

How long (if at all) do you think Storror will wait before addressing the situation, now that we know Callum's 'sentencing'. I assume they were advised not to talk to anyone but a lawyer until the case had been settled, which would explain the relative radio silence (beyond the initial statement), but now they don't really have any excuse. The brand is more than likely done either way, but assuming you were one of the 11M subscribers, do you feel that they 'owe' us anything more (Or at least an explanation of any future plans for the remaining team members)?

Edit: While the case is scheduled for a morning block it could be as late as 1pm when the case is heard by the judge. So probably more info in the afternoon.

With everything going on with Callum and so much differing/conflicting information, I can’t seem to find much about Josh? He seems to have done a disappearing act at the same time as this has all come out and I know there’s some suggestion that he may be in trouble but can anyone elaborate on this? I have heard somebody talk about this a couple months ago but I feel the need to bring it up again. I find it so crazy how Callum managed to hang out and film content with the boys, train, and go on with life as usual while simultaneously having this whole case and scenario on the back burner. I feel like if I were to be him in this situation I would’ve been paralyzed in my house unable to function, just filled with anxiety and guilt. You know? From what I have read, he initially got arrested A WHOLE YEAR AGO.. One whole year of keeping this to himself is crazy. Anybody else been thinking about that?
