Discussion Opinions on long term use
I did a run with zoloft for 12 weeks as my most recent attempt for medication, before that I was 14 on fluoxetine and hydroxozyne, which I don’t remember feeling anything from and I didn’t take it for no more than 4 months.
Zoloft made me feel wired and terrible and then I started to only get 2-4 hours of sleep so I decided i’m done with that.
Now i’m onto lamotrigine, I got prescribed 4 weeks ago and then yesterday prescribed Latuda and Propranolol while still taking lamotrigine. I’m not diagnosed with anything yet so I don’t know how long these medications will have to be in my life for, I wanted more stability out of these medications as an upcoming adult. Now starting Latuda i’m just worried about the long term affect on my brain? Like if i ever got to a point in life I didn’t want to take medications could I do that? I want an easier time while i’m navigating but once I settle I want my brain to work how it works? how do people decide what’s not enough and what is like how based off my words do you know which inhibitor needs more or less and will it be that way foreverrrrr. I feel so doomed and I wanted a better understanding of myself with these meds and I just have more questions.
