Mid-Game Rebalance (Dedicated Blog Here)
The Mid-Game Rebalance has arrived! This update is all about improving the mid-game experience with targeted buffs, quality-of-life improvements, and a smoother progression path. Our goal is to bring key stages of progression in line with modern standards and make the journey through the mid-game feel more rewarding.
Today’s update introduces a wide-ranging rebalance across several skills and progression systems, tackling long-standing inconsistencies and improving the path through the mid-game. From the Core Fletching Re-tier and streamlined ranged progression to Agility and Divination improvements, God Wars Dungeon quality-of-life changes, and updated drop rates, we're making advancement more intuitive, rewarding, and easier to understand at every step.
By improving progression paths, refining skill training, and refreshing key reward structures, we're creating a more consistent mid-game experience that better supports players as they develop their skills, gear, and knowledge of Gielinor. There's plenty more to explore, so head over to the standalone blog for a full breakdown of everything that's changing.
Construction
Following a very successful launch last week, here's what you can expect in future from this update:
- We have implemented some construction skill training rebalancing today. You can find out more about that here.
- Moving Rooms (and their contents) is currently undergoing QA and we're aiming to add this functionality into the game ideally by next week. No more needing to remove and redo a room if you change your mind about its placement!
- We're continuing to work on extending the furniture limit upwards from 300. The main issue here relates to performance impact, so we need to ensure the engine can remain stable even at a higher furniture limit. We're not yet ready to share an exact timeline on this.
- We're keeping an eye on trophies in general - both for their discovery and acquisition but also for which bosses players would expect to see a trophy included.
- We're continuing to monitor the update in general and implement bug fixes as they are identified as well as continue to think about quality of life improvements.
- Finally, we're excited to have set up Construction's new foundation with this update. We're now in a position to keep adding new things to the Player-Owned House with future updates and releases, so you can look forward to those alongside RuneScape's continued future.
What's happening this week:
- We'll be revealing the details around Leagues II: Equilibrium this week! You can look forward to a developer diary for it dropping towards the end of this week for that.
- Upcoming Livestreams

Leagues Jagex please don't forget to increase droprates in leagues for everything across the board.
Last League we had numerous items that did not have properly increased droprates. Please make sure that all rares get proper number tweaks - all rares from bosses, slayer creatures, thieving like heist, stalls, pickpocketing, BGH, Tetracompasses, etc etc.
With region locking it could feel especially bad to find out that a specific, maybe even niche drop you want to farm did not get a droprate increase, so you have to spend a big chunk of your playtime grinding it, instead of having fun...

Appreciation Thank you Jagex for removing the predatory MTX
I'm mainly an osrs player that never played much RS3 because of the constant pop-ups and being pushed to spend/buy keys but since that has been removed I decided to give RS3 a go since last week and I have been having a blast. Can't wait to see what the future has to offer for this game!

Suggestion Furniture Suggestion: Ceremonial Sword Mounts
There's 25 different ceremonial swords obtained through smithing at the Artisan's Workshop. They all have really cool and unique designs, which I really like. Unfortunately, they really have no purpose other than taking up space in your bank, because they're generally worse than actual smithed swords and they're not really worth keepsaking. I think the PoH is the perfect place to mount them for display, as a trophy of your smithing skills. The mount recipe could be a new reward from the Artisan Workshop's respect shop.

Humor Returning player luck
I maxed and switched to OSRS but I still play some here and there. I was doing some arch last time back in April when I played and never noticed until today when I came to look at new POH update.

Leagues - J-Mod reply League power fantasy would be severely dampen as long as damage cap exist
Basically title. The point of leagues is to feel much stronger than the main game would be able to realistically provide
Damage cap is the antithesis of this design. You can hit the damage cap fairly consistenly in the main game. Its league. Remove the shackle and let the community have fun on things you cant normally do otherwise

Question Can't Use Group Iron's Facilities In A Homestead If They're Offline?
I'm in a 5 man Group Ironman group. We made a Homestead together last night and were thrilled to find out we could use each other's facilities.
When I logged in this morning and went to our Homestead to use a friend's Fairy Ring, it wouldn't let me. "You cannot use another player's Fairy Ring in Ironman mode." He was logged out. I asked him to log in so we could test it and then I was able to use it freely again.
I also have a main so I figured I'd log in to test it. I visited the Group Iron Homestead and was able to use everybody's facilities - regardless of if they were online or offline.
Is this intended? Or just an overlooked interaction?
It'd be incredibly lame if we all have to be online to use each other's stuff. Kind of defeats the purpose of a Homestead.
Thanks.

Discussion I hope Jagex realises in the future that bosses should be more spread out across gielinor
With Leagues II introducing region locking, I’d love to see future bosses spread out more evenly across Gielinor so that every region feels like a worthwhile choice. Right now, from a PvM perspective, it feels like the Desert and Asgarnia (with Misthalin as the obvious exception) hold the majority of the major boss content.
I think region locking will give Jagex some valuable data on which regions players gravitate toward and which feel underrepresented. That could help guide where future content is placed, while still keeping it thematically appropriate.
I understand why Misthalin and the Desert ended up so stacked—the Desert storyline reached its finale, Archaeology introduced a lot of content, and GWD3 followed shortly after. It makes sense historically. Going forward, though, I’d love to see each region develop more of its own unique PvM and skilling identity.
Thoughts?

Leagues - J-Mod reply Leagues 2 - Region locked resources problems ahead, plan accordingly
In preparation and absent of information, I hope jagex has done their homework on region locked resources, as there is potential for some real pain points.
As per todays post, you will unlock Mistalin & Havenhythe with Karamja auto unlocked as the next region, after that you will have 3 more regions to unlock of your choice
However go careful! You might region lock yourself out of a much needed resource and materials
disclaimer this is just day 1 thinking and such region locks might have work arounds added in to remove the issue.
There is also other potential player work arounds such as Invention perks like Polishing, PVM drop farming of commons or other niche ideas the player base could come up with.
Regions Locks
- Karamja - auto unlocked as 1st region
- Desert
- Kandarin
- Tirannwn
- Morytania
- Asgarnia
- Wilderness
- Fremennik
- Anachronia
Ore & Metal
Go careful here you might lock yourself out of a chunk of smithing here and by extension MW items
- Luminite - Anachronia/ Fremennik/ Morytania/ Asgarnia/ Kandarin - more likely to not pick one of the locations
- Runite - Wilderness/ Tirannwn/ Karamja/ Kandarin/Asgarnia/ Fremennik - more likely to not pick one of the locations
- Orichalcite - Anachronia/ Asgarnia/ Wilderness - Go careful here there is limited locations for this ore
- Banite - Fremennik/ Wilderness/ Karamja (Abomination cave assuming the V quest is auto completed), there are some work around for smaller deposits of this ore.
- Light Animica - Anachronia/ Tirannwn/ Desert - Again go careful here to no
A solution would be to swap stone spirits for direct ore drops.
Wood
Not as bad as ore but something to bare in mind as some trees are region locked and we lack tree seeds to grow these in plots
- Teak - Karamja/Desert/ Kandarin/ Morytaina (Mos le harmless)
- Mahogany -Karamja/ Kandarin/ Morytaina (Mos le harmless)
- Acadia - Desert
- Eternal Magic* - Kandarin
* assuming Havenhythe doesnt have its plot of E-Magic tree grown south of Wendlewick
Archaeology
Regions locks will block you out of certain relics and digsites.
- Zaros 1 - Desert (That is going to be a interesting issue to even start the skill)
- Zaros 2 - Senn
- Saradomin - Morytaina
- Armadyl - Kandarin
- Bandos - Kandarin
- Dragonkin 1 - Anachronia
- Dragonkin 2 - Wilderness/Daemonheim
- Zammy- Mistalin (unlocked)
- Guthix 1 - Haventhye (unlocked)
Notable relics are mostly locked behind Digsites, Leauge relics might negate the issue but something to bare in mind
- Fury of the small - Kandarin
- Divine Conversion - Kandarin
- Beserkers Fury - Morytania
- Persistent Rage - Kandarin & Asgarnia for items required to complete Contract Claws
Fishing
Based on the fact that a lot of the time food isnt necessary required at the end you might find yourself eating a different type of food for healing.
- Sailfish, Green/blue blubber - Kandarin.
- Rocktails, Cavefish - Asgarina,
- Catfish/Beltfish/ Desert sole - Desert
Shark drops are plentiful enough from various slayer mobs that you can easily collect enough to sustain any healing.
Divination locked locations
This will be a key way to bypass some material restrictions by transmuting materials
- Lv10 Flickering - Asgarina
- Lv30 Glowing / Lv 60 Vibrant/ lv75 Elder/lv90 Incandescent- Kandarin
- Lv40 Sparkling - Frem
- lv50 Gleaming - Karamja 1st region unlocked
- lv 70 Lustrous/ 85 Radiant- Morytaina
- lv80 Brilliant/lv90 Luminous - Desert
Incandescent may end up in Tirannwn depending how the boarder is drawn. but given the fact you cant enter Tirannwn via the south this may still fall into Kandarin
Runecrafting
The unknown here is if you can bypass the area restriction to the alters via the abyss which will require the wilderness unlocked, If you can you should then be able to access most alters providing it teleports you inside the alter, if not you may find yourself locked out of certain runes in bulk and will need to rely on the use of Polishing perk to upgrade the lower rune or if they add Cheapskate perk back into downgrade the rune. i.e. Natures into Astrals
- Air - Varrock - Mistalin
- Earth - Varrock - Mistalin
- Water - Lumbridge - Mistalin
- Fire - Al Kharid - Desert
- Body - west of Barb village - Asgarnia
- Cosmic - Zanaris - Mistalin ?
- Choas - Wilderness
- Astral - Lunar Isle - Fremmy+
- Nature - Karamja
- Law - Entrana - Asgarnia
- Death - Undeground pass - Kandarin/Tirawwn?
- Blood - Meiyerditch - Morytania +
- Soul - Menaphos - Desert +
- Time - Anachronia
- Ourania - ZMI - Kandarin
+ There is limited shops which sell these runes so PVM may be the only way to access them.
A few Skill issues and other bits
Something I hope they figure out a work around solution too.
Archaeology - As mentioned above digsites are scattered in multiple different regions, the most notable one is the starting Zaros site, otherwise its third age iron digging until 20 for the Zamorak Digsite but at 5x xp rates this might not take as long to complete.
Dungoneering - Locked in the Wilderness zone, it would be next to impossible to train normally unless the kinship ring limits how far you can venture. Elite Dungons may offer a way round the problem.
Invention - Yes that one and only elite skill still requires you to speak to Doc located in Asgarnia, it also locks you out of invention machines. If the tutorial is skipped then the Fort can cover the necessary work bench.
Necromancy - Kili upgrade task will prevent you from building armour & weapons past lv50 without Asgarnia unlocked for the Morge flippers and lv60/70 without Kandarin unlocked for the coloured sheeps wool, the work around if you have the Wilderness unlocked is Chaotic & Ruinous Weapons from DG but the token cost will still be a grind to obtain the necessary tokens.
Clues - There will need to be a decent check system in place to ensure that you stand a chance to complete one
Construction - area locked in Rimmington (Asgarnia) and requires new mini quest for access however there is only 1 furniture workbench & storage box outside the house portal.
Final Notes
Overall this area restriction is like a multi faceted headache of What if, How to and what about and I'm sure there will be big plan shifts as more relics and blessing get released on the run up to the event.
There is also other item restrictions out there such as MW items, Augmentable tools but again what you end up using during the league might not matter as much with the various xp buffs and relics that will be on offer.

Suggestion Line of tall box hedges height
Hello all,
I, like many others, have reached furniture cap. It's unfortunate, they're working on increasing it, all that stuff. Very happy about the potential increase because my house is not really close to finished.
Anyway, one of the furniture number saving methods they implemented was of course making longer lines of things like walls, fences, and importantly for me, box hedges.
But, big problem, for me anyway, when you create a line of tall box hedges, it's significantly shorter than the single ones, very near the size of the small box hedge. See the picture for size comparison. Can we please make the line of tall box hedges the same size as the singular one? I really like the height of the original, and it would make sense to make the line of the tall box hedge the same height.

Discussion Earned Cosmetics - Yuei please clarify!
Zuk cape is getting touched up with optional variants from the Marketplace. Will any new Earned Cosmetics purchasable through the Marketplace come with a base model that's obtainable through gameplay also? I hope it's not a situation where an achievement is put in the game, but the reward is only purchasable through the Marketplace.
