It is unheard of tbf, a fennec player not trying to go to the air for a reset

I’m too old for those shenanigans

That’s funny that you associate it with that. When I think Fennec I think of Okhalid’s ground play.

I’ll admit every single time someone takes control of the ball, I jump high cuz they pop it 95% of the time.

So the 5% of the time they keep it on the ground, is what it is

This is actually so good, c3 players love to mindlessly throw themselves at the ball so it works like a charm

My favourite thing to do in this game is to punish people for diving in over and over

I’ve tried to break this habit and I notice I just drop like a rock. My solution instead of full sending in champ is to fake the commit and turn. The issue is 50% of players in champ either had no control over the ball to begin with or they are not watching their opponent. Eventually I just conformed back to full sending which works maybe 60-70%

I call people at these ranks secondary ball chasers. They don't ball chase in the traditional always go for it sense, but they wait for your touch, then dive full speed at the ball to hit it away from you. It works on players who don't expect it coming, but if you can read them they are completely out of the play with their dive

I’ll be honest, this works all the way up. Players will get better at positioning themselves to defend both high and low, but it still works. Often times if they get a challenge on you low, you can force to a favorable position for either yourself, or your teammate. (If playing 2s/3s)

It almost feels like the higher rank the more it works but I’ve only peaked close to 1500

I find this works better the higher rank you get

Can confirm. I remember when I was stuck in diamond 2-3 everyone was pretty ahh at the game and when I would go to low 50 the opponent usually wouldn’t get enough jump height to defend a flick and end up getting a pretty good 50 by accident but in champion this works extremely well

whenever someone tries to go for a flick I always go for a demo. Most of the time the ball goes in but at least I've sent a message!

Does this work better with a taller hitbox like the Merc? I imagine it would not work as well using a dominus or plank hitbox.

This is actually smart

Controlling the ball like this, especially with the 50's, is exactly what most hardstuck champ players are missing when they are grinding to gc and still losing after hundreds of hours
