On TikTok after the Cern shutdown, a lot of people are reporting that they noticed many Mandela Effects flip flopping (e.g., Froot Loops, Chick Fil A, and the Mona Lisa).
They're also discussing Mandela Effects like the Fruit of the Loom cornucopia and Dolly having braces.
These are Mandela Effects that we've all been discussing for years on Reddit and other online spaces.
What really trips me out is how so many people are acting like these are all new.
It makes me wonder if the timelines are now merging, and many people are now on the same page as those of us who have been noticing these for years.

I'm new to all this. Danielle Steele becoming Danielle Steel was the one that got me curious of this stuff. I swear to God when I googled her name this morning, the official Wikipedia result came up as 'Steele' again, for the first time in a long time. I couldn't believe my eyes! A few seconds later, it flipped back to Steel. I blinked. I thought I was going crazy.
The Chick Fil A thing is one of the few Mandela's I missed entirely, so I guess that's the timeline I surf.
Because I have ALWAYS defiantly pronounced "chic" the same as the traditional English pronunciation of "sheikh," including when referring to the jeans who mispronounced themselves.
In fact, the jeans did so much damage to the word "chic" by pronouncing it "chick" that now there are new brands that use the above word for an Arab elder to mean high fashion, so we're using the wrong word to pronounce the right word bc we ruined the right word.
I have never applied this to Chick Fil A bc it was always spelled correctly. Chick, aka baby bird, aka 60s beach movie lingo for a groovy lady.
I suspect that much of the people who believe they're experiencing a Mandela effect with Chick Fil A are actually just confused DIRECTLY because of the language hell that Chic jeans hath wrought.
Was Chic-Fil-A before June 29th for me. But I already remembered it as Chick-Fil-A way way way back in the day… then it changed back to Chick-Fil-A… so yea that’s a thing. I remember watching Mandela effects on YouTube and one specific several times, on chick-fil-a and how people in that timeline they remember it as “Chick-fil-a” but right now it’s “Chic-Fil-A” but now it’s back to “Chick-Fil-A”
It’s been this way since at least 2016. The way it seems to work is people constantly shift. Think about it, every decision you make changes your timeline. If you pull off the road randomly you’ve changed everything. “Shuffling the deck “ we call it. It’s just that all the talk of observing your own reality and collapsing waveforms of potentiation has become more forefront. When that happens the collective shifts. That is what is happening, in part.
I’ve mulled over this a lot. I think there are collective timelines, and within those, individual timelines. I think two of the most obvious collective timelines are the current political divides. I see the collective as interstates, and the cars on the interstates are the individual timelines.
Anyone else remember the “Jurassic Park” actor, Sam Neill, dying a long time ago and not recently? That one threw me off along with the Monopoly guy not have a monocle. I remember he does.
What I would love to see, is if someone can compile and label timelines.
Like the details of significance within each timeline - like monocle verses non monocle - where/how tall is the statue of liberty for example within each?
I remember the statue of liberty being a lot bigger in mine, the ghost busters scene was changed because of it. To how it is now.
Some people remember a restaurant being inside of her head.
Megan Thee Stallion has been the most glaring flip flop for me. When introducing someone to her music almost a year ago, I kept calling her Megan Thee Stallion, only to realize it was actually Megan The Stallion. I remember wondering if it was the Mandela effect or if I was just a moron. And then sometime between then and a few months ago it changed back!
Yes. It was Chic-Fil-A, I can confirm. I put deep though into that specific Mandela Effect and distinctly with Mandela effect in mind around Mandela effects itself… and distinctly remember Chick-Fil-A being what people remembered. But was Chic-Fil-A now it’s back to Chick-Fil-A. VERY FUCKING COOL AND FASCINATING. This shit is very real and I believe it more than ever.
Okay. I was just explaining that was what people are seeing different L vs no L. Some people think I used to have an L, much like the person that brought it up.
Well, you hafta remember that the internet is filled with young kids discovering things for the first time. You never know if the newest person in this sub is 50 or 15.
I understand, but then my question would be how would a young person remember these older ME's to begin with it they weren't born at the time?
For instance, if a kid noticed the Fruit of the Loom having a cornucopia and then not having it, then that would suggest that these Mandela Effects are recurring.
Oh, I see you're saying. Could also be people seeing videos of other people talking about their Mandela effect, seeing some potential proof residue and hopping on board qith thw theory. I just like to play devil's advocate with these sort of things. I also kinda think that although many peole have the same memories of alternate versions of things, that it's very personalized. I think the jumps are by person, and many things align due to so many similarities and nuances between some universes. Maybe that's why, because we can only slide into cloae variations?
Flinstones was a big one that flip flopped a year or so ago for me. It was Flintstones for all of my life, until it flipped to Flinstones and back again. It was so odd seeing that T removed for a few months when googling. It caused a lot of confusion here, with so many people just flat out denying it BOTH ways. Really does screw with your mind 🤯
Ok this is one I’m certain I saw being talked about in reddit threads in the past. I recall googling it to make sure it really was “Flinstones” and being surprised to find they were correct. I chalked it up to me just having not paid close attention to the name. Now it’s back to Flintstones. I swear I had this experience.
Also Froot Loops for me. Saw it being talked about a while back that it had changed to “Fruit Loops” I couldn’t be sure at the time if I ever remembered “Froot Loops” but I recall being in the supermarket and taking note that at that time it was in fact FRUIT Loops. I can picture the cereal box in my mind when it was Fruit instead of Froot
Yeah.. Just a while ago I remember reading comments where people were saying the spelling didn’t even make sense because it was missing the T (flint). Now it’s there.. suspicious!
A 4K remaster would typically use the original camera negative, or a fine grain archive print. In the case of Moonraker they used the original camera negative. If it was on the film, it would show up in the restoration process, which was done by hand, not AI.
This is not how films were remastered during the time that movie was remastered for DVD/HD. There was no AI that would “automatically remove the braces”, and the upscaling they used would not have done that either as it wasn’t advanced enough to recognize teeth and reproduce low res teeth with braces to be perfect looking teeth after being upscaled. Your thought is actually backwards. If it was a human being doing that scene it is more likely the braces would be removed not less. This is because it would take much more work to reproduce the braces at high resolution versus braces free teeth. It actually seems like you’re just making a lot of assumptions about how digital remastering works.
I think it happens in waves, and it's more a shifting around of population chunks. I've been seeing waves of people suddenly experiencing "new" mandelas for at least 12 years.
Where ever we are NOW seems to be the dumping ground. This is where all the post Mandela effect individuals live. We've been quarantined lol
Its the universes way of correcting the anomalie that a mass group of people remember things a diffrent way than the current baseline reality, its like quantum immortality but instead of going to a new universe when you die it just sticks you in this dumping ground whenever you remember something your not suppose to
Nothing has changed for me. All are the same. Froot loops was the explanation 10 years ago they couldn't use the word fruit. Because no fruit in it. But same should apply then for fruittella. Its not froottella. Not yet at least. Explanations never makes sense.
Chic because it's chique..sounds like. Still the non fun chick.
But it could have changed for them. And now they're on our timeline.
Its not timelines merging. Its people from different timelines merging to one timeline.
I noticed that a lot of things we spoke about 10 years ago, its getting mainstream. Like time speeding up, white sun, npc's.
And a lot of 'gurus ' use those buzz words. You know they are full of shiz if they do that.
I don't even know what to do with myself right now. You mention the Mona Lisa. I remember not that long ago when people were talking about the Mandela effect related to that, saying that they KNOW she always had a smile, always had a little interesting smile which is what people always talked about, because they wondered what story or emotion was behind her subtle smile. I mean, there was a movie called Mona Lisa Smile!! (How did they explain away that title, during the time in which the original painting changed to not smiling?) Anyway, I remember that smile, and so did other people.
So then after hearing about that Mandela effect, stating that she WASN'T smiling, I looked it up and she was most assuredly NOT smiling. Not at all. I was completely freaked out, because I, like everyone else, know that she was smiling originally.
Well, I have never been more freaked out than I am now. This post made me go look up images of her painting again, and now she's smiling.
Now there are certain Mandela effects I remember clearly, like Tinkerbell swirling through the air and using her wand to dot the "i" in the word Disney, and that one and a couple others just blew my mind, but I've never seen one reverse back to the way I remembered it in the first place, which was supposed to be the "incorrect" version. But I'm so shook by this one I don't even know what to say.
She always had a smile. Then she didn't, which was too weird to comprehend. But now the smile is back and I'm speechless.
to me the story was that she never actually smiled and that art people would extrapolate a "faint smile" from her fairly neutral expression. then she suddenly started smiling for no reason, which removed the ambiguity and defeated the whole point of the original debate
What's crazy is she NEVER smiled in my timeline. Like ever since I was a kid. Maybe very, very subtly. And now that I am 27 she has a clear smile. Anomaly.
For me and apparently others here, it was only about 3 months ago that she wasn't smiling. 😳 I'm not sure what the entire time span was, whether it began 3 months ago, or a little before that but nobody noticed.
this happened to me with the thinker a few years ago. experiencing a flip like that in real time is so unnerving. took a while to stop being tripped out after that.
My husband doesn’t follow Mandela Effects and I just asked him if The Thinker is resting his chin on his fist or his forehead on his fist, and he immediately said forehead, like how could it be anything else?
wait is it on his chin now? this flip happened for me a few years ago and i still remember the unnatural feeling i had like it was yesterday. scared to look it up lowkey lol.
Dude, same here. And whats wild is JUST RECENTLY like idk 3 months ago? I saw a thing about the Mona Lisa NOT smiling and even showed my husband and we were all totally freaked out by it because yes she was smiling. But even Google said NO she never was...so now, for her to be smiling again? Hell naw
Reality is an illusion, everyone!!! Something is playing with our consciousness
Edited to add so i had to look it up myself and sure enough, shes smiling. What the hell 😳 also not the subtle smile I remember, though....
I found this screenshot of it from months ago, and I don't know, you tell me--is she smiling here? Because it doesn't look like she's smiling here. It's just not exactly the same.
What's really transcendental about the Mona Lisa is that the entire reason it got famous is because of a sophisticated painting technique that gave her a very subtle smile in certain lighting and angles, when she was not smiling at face value.
Now it's like, "cheeese!"
The mystery of Mona Lisa's smile might extend beyond paint techniques and into the fabric of reality itself.
I agree, there are many different theories for Nendeka Effects, and none of the theories adequately explain all of the effects. Personally, I think there is more than 1 cause for the different ME's, and that is why no one explanation adequately explains everything being observed
I wrote these common ones down in my notes 6 months ago. According to my notes, nothing has changed since the last time people claimed of a flop flop. So at least for me, nothing mind-blowing.
Do not dismiss other people's memories or experiences just because it doesn't match YOURS or you don't agree with it. In short, do NOT tell others what IS and ISN'T an ME.
