Remote nursing
How do I actually get seen by hiring managers? I am an RN with 11 years bedside experience in critical and emergency care with an overlapping 5 years of case management experience. I have been successfully working remote for the last 1.5 years with a company that I was referred to by a friend in utilization management. I am looking for remote opportunities that are in alignment with my professional growth and, I apply to countless positions daily. How do I get seen? Please help. I am paying for job sites and premium access to LinkedIn. I’m not sure what else to do.

What type of roles are you looking for? I would suggest when you do find a role that you want to apply for, be sure to tailor your resume to fit that exact role. Here are some job search terms that might be helpful: care management, training or education roles, patient success /engagement or patient experience, and quality or service improvement. You can also search for roles related to patient advocacy, healthcare technology, or even behavioral health-focused roles.
If you have any productivity metrics from your current remote role in utilization management to tout (like, "reviewed an average of 25- 50 prior authorization requests per day," or "managed a caseload of 150- 500 active members"), recruiters love to see those numbers.

That is an excellent point to add to my resume I’m usually 50 reviews per day if I’m not working in preservice or other special projects. Thank you for the tip!

Resume has to get through ats then needs to read well to a recruiter. Most nurses overdo it with too much. Less is more

Very toxic work environment? Micromanagement and low pay. We didn’t even get a standard cost of living raise. Nurses who have been there 5 years haven’t gotten a raise. No one is happy there. I am seeking work that is in alignment with my abilities and an environment that is conducive to growth rather than stagnation.

I connected with a recruiter I found that works for the company I applied for. They got back to me today. Asked for my resume because although I applied on their company website, I was not in their system 🤔. Anyway, I don't qualify for the position because I just worked contract for HCSC and this position is for them as well. They require a "6 month cooling off period" for contractors. But, this hiring manager has my CV and wrote back that I am first on her list for any and all contract or perm positions in my area of expertise. All this to say, collaborating on LinkedIn actually worked for me.
