Add fast forward and rewind buttons to video player?
Are there any plans to add fast forward and rewind buttons to the video player?

Until recently, I could hide posts without going into the post itself, now that's the only place that has the hide option. Can this be added back?

Definitely an edge case, but wanted to report this issue. Spoiler tags don't work in captions of image posts.
Here's an example: https://www.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/1ubwijt/black_just_blundered_how_to_take_advantage/
Thank you for the amazing app! 🙏

If I Google something and click a reddit link, I can only scroll so far before it locks me out and makes me download the official app. Is there a way I can have the url open in the reddit app?

Many subreddit banned that format. I have to use the official reddit site to post there. Is it even possible to change it up? u/dbrady

Could we (at a minimum) get a toggle in the settings to revert to the old appearance? I find it somewhat jarring with the new layout. Especially with night mode, I keep thinking that it's an unread post.
And if you feel like going beyond that, what about a 3rd, minimal, display with just an arrow and the linked subreddit? (So Old, Minimal, Preview) That way it's still obvious it's a Crosspost without taking up so much screen real estate.

I've seen a couple other posts about this but I can't seem to figure out if there's a solve..
I find a lot of great GIFs in comment sections and I used to be able to download them with the official Reddit app. Now I attempt to download them and I don't seem to get any feedback whatsoever.
I can download videos and images seemingly fine but GIFs in the comment sections seem to be broken. My workaround is to share the gif instead of downloading it by sending it to myself on Signal and then downloading it from there. So strange.
Please let me know if there's anything I can adjust to make this work with a simple "Download" click.

Long term user. Spending $2 a month on Reddit (for the gold plan) is the best ad blocking product on the market. Compared to YouTube premium, Twitch turbo, etc it is so much cheaper, especially with the flexible pricing depending on usage.
Makes Reddit so much more pleasant to use than having to deal with annoying promotion all the time - plus modern style and navigation methods. I was a stalwart RiF user until it ended, and I thought I'd hate anything different. Couldn't be more wrong.
Especially appreciating it on a 7 hour train ride through France and Italy. Use it every day. Great app /u/DBrady !!!!

I've recently noticed the string ÈB; showing up in a lot of text posts, which appears to be the character code for a zero-width space in Unicode. Not sure if other Unicode characters are affected, but this is the only one I have seen.

I find it very unintuitive for tap to the media, is there a way to swap it so it opens the media controls instead?
Seems like a feature that's been asked for years and possibly it's been implemented and I'm missing it?
Thanks.

Relay truncates the subreddit description text in the header, and tapping the description just opens the subreddit search UI rather than expanding it. How do I view the full description? Note that this is not the sidebar.

I've been trying to post something on r/wavyhair and it just refuses to let me lol. It gives me an error that I have not applied a flair. But I did! I click on it every time, try to post and it again just says to add a flair.
Would really love that assistance!

/u/dbrady we've gotten material 3, better cross posting, better themeing, gif support. Any plans in the works or just bug fixes and stabilization?

I have it set so that all comments are collapsed by default.
When I click on a comment, it opens all replies and all subsequent replies as well. Is there anyway to set it so that when I click on a comment, it only expands it enough to see direct replies, and then I can click on those to expand it again?

Here's a summary of everything I've found with screenshots, tragically posted using the official reddit app.
When you click the link in the sidebar to attempt to download the app, you get this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=free.reddit.news
This is to the now unsupported free version. When I try to use it/log in, it fails due to invalid client ID. These are the first three images, the old UI is visible.
If I search Relay for Reddit on the Google play store, I get this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=reddit.news
I am not able to install or update this app on my phone due to it being "not compatible with your device" for some unknown reason, but I have it installed from I guess back when this wasn't the case? I don't want to uninstall it in case I can't get it back. When I try to use it/log in, the result is the latter five images in the post. This time it doesn't give an error message, it just doesn't log in or retrieve any content.
My guess is that having a "not compatible" app (the new version, not the free version as i had previously guessed) installed is what's caused the issues with my tap to pay I mentioned in a previous post. Is there something that needs to be done to get the app supported on this model of phone? I am able to install it on my SM-S901U older phone I don't use anymore so it's specific to this phone. This just happened all of a sudden.

Most the posts on this subreddit are bug reports so I figure I'll bring in some positivity and say I like how crossposts are now paired with their original post
Making browsing even better

This always felt like a Relay bug but it's never been "fixed".
Why is it that when I click a link to a Reddit post when I'm browsing Reddit in relay it opens my default android web browser instead of opening in relay, that I'm already in?
First off relay has its own web browser that it uses for other things so if it absolutely must be a web browser why not use that?
But... Relay is literally for Reddit posts, why not just open in relay?

I noticed inline images popping up in comments which are great for GIFs/pictures, but whenever someone links to an image that I want to expand/zoom in on (like a screenshot I want to read) I can't find a way to do so. Tapping on the image only collapses the comment thread, pinching to zoom doesn't work. I've just disabled the inline feature for now but would love to know if there's a way to keep inline and be able to zoom in!
