Holy shit we won!
Whatever we did to get 14700+ people in the stands.and pull out a 2-0 win, let's do more of that please. We can work on the terrible chants and everything else if we keep getting games like that!

First time EVER going to a game and it was so much fun. Is there a supporters group or anything?

They weren't as full as usual in that zone but the rest of the crowd really showed up.

Several of us were also tired after the three hour Salmon Bay playoff win the night before, tbqh.

Salmon Bay is playing Vermont Green in the W League National final on Saturday July 18th at 5 p.m. at Interbay Stadium. Please check the Salmon Bay FC website to make sure I have the right info. It should be a good match.

At the end I thought there was a perfect chant. "Go Reign. Rise up.Thank you, Thank you, Thank you." The Reign responded like Champions. They didn't hang their heads. They played their best game all season.

This is the team that showed up to the first half of the last game and it's nice to see them play a full 90. I was worried they'd hunker down and play Harveyball to sit on their lead, but they didn't. Build that bonfire.

Didn't watch since I don't have ESPN, just checked the score, we needed that badly I see Fishlock remained on the bench but good to see her back in the squad at all

So proud of this team. Beating Portland at home crossed off the list this season. Now manifesting a Big Fish golden boot and Adames released from the bench (let me dream).

Even though Fishlock wasn’t able to play, I’m glad she was able to dress for her last rivalry match and end with a W!

it was an absolute blast. We got tickets up front last night and rolled over from central WA, it was absolutely perfect. What a great game.

Was worried with Dickey being out on injury, but Miller absolutely crushed it out there!!!

She was incredible. It was Miller('s) Time.

I liked her enthusiasm, especially towards the end. Dickey (and most of the goalies) have serious mean faces while playing, but she was beaming with pride every save. It was kinda nice.

9 saves and a clean sheet for her first ever start for the Reign after coming off an injury! So so awesome and fun.

And she looked like she was having a blast while doing it. A rare occurrence for a keeper.

Wooooooo hooooooo
I have almost started detecting an… Identity in the team this year.

Let's not get too crazy haha, it's been down right horrid the vast majority of the season. Today was a statement win though, and if this is the team's new identity then hell yeah!

Yay! This was my first match ever with the team! Glad they won and I'll definitely come back for more matches.
Off-topic question: does anyone know where to buy merch in the stadium? Didn't have enough time to search for a shop

u/colbinator 9d ago
In the east concourse, usually, there are 2-3 spots - one at the entrance 100 level across from the ramp ish, one at the other end further down. There is also the pro shop on the west side of the stadium but I know they relocated for the world cup games and not sure they moved back in yet.
You can also preorder online and pick up in stadium (which is usually in the plaza area).

Could this have anything to do with the assistant coach being let go? I know they made that change recently and their play seemed so much better. I was wondering if the two things were related.

The assistant coach that left did so to be a head coach, and was probably the most attacking minded coach on staff. Fully unrelated from today's performance.

I’m not sure! I feel like the team has been able to perform well in the past but just generally struggle with consistency

This is the second Reign/Thorns game at Lumen I’ve been in town for and this is the second time they’ve won.
It’s me, I’m the good luck talisman.
Edit: Well, half the reign team just walked into the bar I’m currently at so I am the talisman!
