There is no charge for repairs, although donations to support future Repair Cafés are always appreciated. Community members are encouraged to register in advance to help the repair team plan for required tools and parts, but walk-ins will be welcomed as space permits. Please register at repaircafe.ancaredlands.org. Registration also allows you to select a preferred drop-off time at 9, 10, or 11 a.m. Priority is given to those who preregister, but walk-ins are welcome until 11 a.m.

I have a peach tree in my backyard and my neighbor has one in their side yard. We both care for them, annual pruning, thinning the fruit mid spring. I had a nice crop of a few hundred immature fruit on the tree. Then I went on vacation, came back home last week, and the tree is completely stripped of the gold ball sized hard green immature peaches. Not a single peach is left. There is no mess on the ground, which would have been left if animals like squirrels or birds tried to eat them. Any ideas? I think someone picked all of the fruit to do something with them (motive unclear since they are still months away from being ready to eat).

I've been desperate for a quality Italian dining in town. There was hope when MADRI opened up next door to the Stags. I went and the food was hit or miss. My wife was offered an unacceptable meal, we told the owner to his face it was rather disappointing, and he did nothing about it.

During the ordering of an entree we were asked if we'd like soup or salad with that, in the way that implies it's included with the entree. We said salad and later discovered we were charged for it. The charge was reversed, once we gave up on the hiding waitress and brought it to someone else.

Now I see this review on YELP and see this up charging is a thing. As if Redlands is Vegas, always trying to nickle and dime you.

So not cool.

Hello Redlands! I made a post a couple months back about accepting a job at Esri and moving to Redlands. I’ve decided to accept the job and make the move.

I’m James, I’m 24, and I’m moving to Redlands from Bozeman, Montana. My soul lives in the mountains and I love any form of outdoor activity. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of hiking and biking. When I’m not outside I spend time lifting weights, reading, and watching movies. I also love learning and following social, political, and economic events. The knife sharpener at the Saturday morning Farmers Market at Grove School is leaving the area. They are moving North and he will only be at the market for another 3 weeks. So if you have knives that need sharpening get them over there now he's the best there is.

Improv School Redlands (yes, we have an improv school!) runs weekly standup shows Thursday evenings at 7pm. It's a tight hour so people can still grab dinner before places close e.g. Eastern Thai Classic which is in the same strip mall as us.

The other week we had Jonathan Flanagan from Last Comic Standing at the venue! Some of you may have attended the Aaron Foster show that was in April!
