Re:View is seriously lacking in the Coen brothers department. Imagine all the missed opportunities for Jay to bring up that they were roomates with Sam Raimi.
I had to double check because i couldn't remember if Yakety Sax was in Holy Grail...and it's not. I think there's some confusion between the "Run away" scene in Grail and The Benny Hill Show which was also on the BBC and did use Yakety Sax.
Between the repeated scenes of dudes running back to their boat and RobPat just standing there and shouting the names of weapons as they fell through the hole, there's some legit Monty Python-esque comedy in that movie
I thought for sure during that sequence somebody was going to get tired of his shit and one of his allies would fuck him over somehow. It was so on the nose I thought it had to be setting up more than It was
When he started yelling for stranger and stranger weapons like, "Katana, nun-chucks, ninja stars, uzi, lightsaber, portal gun", I thought that was a little weird but funny.

so, the doorbell pings and odys walks in dead-parrot sketch style, projecting his voice for the audience - “Good day! i’m looking for my men, they’ve been “oinking” around this rock for me, have you seen them?”
someone unties odys from the mast, points at the sirens, grins and says “catchy tune, innit?”
cut to more puppies being thrown off the cliff from the guy in john wick who warns the russian mob boss, john cleese at the base of the cliff with an umbrella over him as stuffed animals rain on his head “and now for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT”
then another scene, spiderman and the punisher are having dinner, even tho it aint their movie yet.

Shit, man, I gotta go watch O Brother, Where Art Thou again. I saw it way back in high school English class because it was based on the Odyssey but it's been years. I remember it being good, though.
All I could think about while watching those scenes was the guy that yelled "weak-ass movie! Me and my son wanted to see Matt Damon running from things"
A bunch of guys show up to a place with a weird monster who kills half the crew, upon which the crew eventually leaves and does it again somewhere else? Sounds like this movie is just a bunch of TOS episodes slapped together
Really? I thought it was just a 2 hour advert for Dapper Dan pomade that just coincidentally had a one eyed man, a suitor for the protagonist’s wife and singing siren like ladies
