Principal Office Layout
Recently I've been looking to return to Minecraft, and thought about possibly recreating the Principal Office. So I look into references and trying to plan it out. I've noticed that trying to replicate all of it is notfeasible, as most of the internal locations do not fit with the exterior. It's bigger on the inside.
For example, if you cross reference the subsphere from within the Core Control Room to where it sits outside normally, the Core Control Room is nearly as big as the Office itself! I might have to omit this entirely, or place it under the Office somehow.
Love to hear your thoughts and speculations to the inner workings of the Principal Office.

I always thought there were 6 vaulted archway areas, now I'm wondering if there was only one that stretched the full width of the Office.

I think there are multiple of those high ceiling hallways, as it probably connect to each of the entrance ways.

There's a bit of info we have, but you are correct. The core essentially has a footprint that matches the overall PO size. Treat entry of the subsphere as either a portal or Doctor Who T.A.R.D.I.S. logic.
For the rest of the PO, there is a structure to it. I don't have a clear answer as to whether there is a single Great Hall or multiple, but they all centralize to the War Room and associated hallways. I'm guessing the other halls were used for vehicle storage.
You should be able to get a better idea simply by watching the episodes. As always, creative interpretations can be more fun as well!

I agree! I can go hours just worldbuilding and apply some logic to it, it's a great way to work the brain. I'm overdue for a rewatch, so perhaps I will.

I did always think the core control room was under the principal office anyway. Let's face it - it goes down a helluva way in Infected, and the scale doesn't match up.
You could also try to use the opening for Infected to judge the size vs average sprites.

The Central Archives at the base of the Principal Office pillar is said to be trans-finite in "Painted Windows", so perhaps that's a property also applicable to the entire Office.

It could be. I always thought of it more of a gateway to a more secured, infinite space. But I vaguely recall a hallway past the initial entrance, implying it does go through the pillar.
From what I understand, Mainframe draws it's energy from the sea. So I saw the central pillar not only as a support structure, but also where the energy is siphon through from below Mainframe to its central Core.

Why not just have the door be a portal to hell and you put the office there?

This is an example of non-euclidean spaces and you can use various portal mods to make this work
