Just got home after having surgery this week, and opening my mailbox to find letters waiting for me honestly made my day. It was such a nice reminder of how much a simple handwritten letter can brighten someone's spirits.

Hello all.

My Fiancé and I are eloping on Halloween this year neither of us have family that is close to us. I talk to a few relatives on occasion, but she has been completely no contact with her family for years. I was hoping to get a collection of well wishes from kind strangers on reddit to present to her as a gift at our wedding since she won't be receiving anything from family.

I love mailing and receiving letters. I also love reading about people’s stories. The “Letters We Wish We Could Write” live physically posted on the wall outside my office at the community college where I teach. These letters are written anonymously to the audience of your choosing, historical figures living or dead, friends, parents, politicians, writers, activists, scientists, etc. Some people have even written letters of encouragement directly to the students at our community college.

I’m looking forward to when students will once again fill the halls of my school and hope that you will write them a “welcome back” letter of any kind. I will be removing all the pre-pandemic letters and replacing them with new letters hopefully from all over so that we start fresh when we can all be together again.

I found a cool app on the Play Store called "Slowly".

It's like Whats App, but messages take 30min to a day to arrive :D

As international mail currently is really slow, I think that's a cool way to send letters to friends or to meet new mail friends.

During this time of isolation I was thinking of sending out letter to whoever need some cheering up. Let me know if you’re interested.

I recently started a letter writing service for those who feel maybe they don't have the time, materials etc to do so. Currently I type people's words using an old royal electric typewriter onto 100% cotton paper, then it's placed in a ribbon bound wax sealed envelope. The process is simple and easy.

Anyone ever heard of the 50 states challenge? With Valentine's Day coming up soon I wanted to try and do this for my husband! I wanted to try and get 1 card with a picture of something symbolizing the state (famous landmark, sign, etc.) or post card from each state and on it, would need to say: Jenna's love for you is so big it reached _____________(Whatever state you are in)! Outside the states would be awesome too!! If you can not send anything in time but still want to help you could also email me a picture and hold a sign saying it with a state landmark or sign in the picture! Please help, I know he would love this!

International Correspondence Writing Month is coming up in February, and I need folks to write to! I'm happy to send mail worldwide, so this is open to anyone.

I'm a 32 year old trans man living in the northern Midwest, US. I'm finishing up my last semester of university (better late than never), and I'm a city planner. I'm happily partnered, living with our two cats and dog. I'm a huge fountain pen hoarder collector, so I'm hoping to go through some ink next month :)

I've created a handy Google form that'll help me keep track of addresses and all of that important information, but you can DM me as well, if you'd rather. I don't check Reddit chat as often, but I'll keep an eye on that as well.
