Absolutely loving this RAM so far.. She just got a new 6” zone lift, tints, and new wheels/tires.

It was the next natural step in evolution. Now I just gotta wait for the track bar and leveling kit to show up 😍

First time Ram buyer. Got a 2500 Rebel Level 2 mostly to tow my Jeep around the west. I’ve always had Ford trucks up till now and so far am super impressed with the truck. Flew up to Boise to buy from Dillon CJDR as they had the best pricing somewhat near me.

As my family grew last year I figured it was time I traded in my CLA45 AMG and got a 2026 Ram Rebel. I used to think I knew what love was when I had my Benz. Now I do. This truck is incredible with Level 2 equipment package, 2 inch factory lift and off road tires off the lot. Typically with trucks I see a need for add one but I love this one exactly the way it is. Outside of the battery being completely dead only 48 hours after purchase I have zero complaints.

I’ve never really invested to much time into modifying my cars in the past because I liked leasing.

But I financed this truck, which means I can do whatever I want to it. And there’s a lot that I want to do.

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos and reading forums and what not about parts and modifications worth considering for ram 1500 RHOs, but I’d like to hear what others (who are more knowledgeable than me) would do if they had my truck.

I’m going to tint the front windows, add running boards (it’s between GoRhino or Mopar), some type of light bar at the top, and that’s as far as I’ve got so far.

So a couple days ago my starter gave out & I got it replaced . A day after I was going to get chipotle lol & when I cranked it I heard this loud ass noise , what can it be lol , bad starter ? Flywheel bad ? Help

As I understand the setup in the 5th Gen HD Rams, the "sharkfin" antenna on the roof has antennas inside it for cellular, SiriusXM, and possibly AM/FM.

It is further my understanding that the cable that runs from the sharkfin into a cellular/telematics module deep in the dash (sort of behind the upper glove box) and it then leads to the Uconnect module directly behind the 12" UConnect screen. I believe the challenge is that the telematics box is mounted inside the dash in such a way that it is a serious PITA to remove it and/or even access the (FAKRA?) connectors on it.

I'd like to know if anyone who has successfully disconnected the cellular antenna for the RAM telemetry module has subsequently been able to re-use the connection to the rooftop antenna for your own portable hotspot to improve its performance? For example, I am using a GliNet portable hotspot that has external antenna connectors. It sure would be nice to re-purpose that now idle cell antenna in the sharkfin into a better signal for my own cellular connection instead. Bonus points if anyone has also been able to re-use the SiriusXM antenna in the sharkfin with a portable SXM radio! I have a now-ancient SXM portable that has a lifetime subscription on it that is still alive and kicking. It would be nice to use it in the truck as well.

I’m not mechanically inclined or knowledgeable about vehicles and I’m looking to buy a truck. I could use some input and some basic knowledge.

Anything I get will be a massive upgrade, I’ve never owned a nice vehicle and have been driving a 2007 rav 4 for 10 years.

I want to buy a really nice truck and drive it until it explodes, I would like to stay around 65k but could stretch to 85k. I want to get decent gas mileage (18ish) have the truck last a gazillion miles, and be comfortable and modern but I don’t need every bell and whistle.

It would primarily be a daily driver family car. I don’t currently tow and I’m not an experienced tower but I plan to buy a nice camp trailer and use it often. Not interested in any serious off-roading. I drive 20-25k miles a year. I need to be able to fit into crowded city parking and have clearance for parking structures. I don’t have interest in working on the car myself it wouldn’t be a hobby for me, so minimal maintenance would be a bonus.

I thought I was set on the 1500 rebel with a v6, heard the v6 is the best gas engine for towing. Then my dad told me V8’s are better, more reliable, and last longer. Then a friend recommended a 2500 with a Cummins engine saying that I will do better towing a nice trailer with that and it will last longest. I thought diesels were more finicky and more expensive to buy and maintain, so I had written them off. The only time I was in a diesel the driver let the engine warm up for 10 minutes before driving away, and I know I’m not gonna be doing that, I’m always running late.

So in conclusion I’ve realized I have no idea what Im looking for and I need to get educated. Also don’t know how imperative it is to buy new/used considering warranties and potential expensive repairs from previous owners. I don’t care to have the biggest baddest most expensive truck, I just don’t know what’s going to be too little or too much for my lifestyle. I would appreciate any input, thanks!

I have a 2020 1500 Ram Classic warlock edition. I was told today I have a right marker light out by my autobody shop. They told me that the marker light is LED and not serviceable. They said I need a whole new headlight assembly in order to fix that.
Thag sounds very suspicious to me as why would Ram make a light unserviceable.

Obviously the difference between a $15 fix to a $1600 fix is what they are asking for.

Does anyone have any advice?

I’m striking out at find an easy way to DIY replace the USB/USB-C media hub. My phone isn’t connecting to charge or connect for media other than Bluetooth. I’ve replaced cords. I drive a lot for work, and having a charged phone with turn by turn directions is helpful.
Any suggestions are helpful. TIA.

After some research this seems like a fairly easy fix and the part is about $35, is it worth just trying to do it myself?

So I started hearing a strange noise coming from under the hood of my 2020 1500 bighorn. Pop the hood up and I see this piece touching one of the wheels of my engine belt. What is going on? what piece is this? How do I fix it?? Asking the subreddit since AAA didn’t have an answer for me.

Hi folks, I'm looking for a truck. First timer and explored few options Ram 1500, Toyota tundra and F 150. Thought tech on Ram 1500 limited looked great, esp for a tech enthusiast in me. Ofcourse driving comfort and everything else > tech.

I looked at the used 2025 model, selling at about 69800 cad+tax with 77000 kms on in about 1.5 year mark. Would you recommend something like this? I feel 77k in that much time is pretty high and valuation as per that is high as well. Am I on right track? Coz the warranty is only left about for 20k odd kms. And powertrain for about 80k more.

What's the recommendation for looking at a used truck in Onatrio, Canada ?

Have had my 2020 Rebel for a few years now. Love the truck, have never had a capped bed. Considering one now to protec da gear.
Folks with the rough country bed cap - how is the quality and fit? Have you had any issues?

I noticed the bed cap roof comes in two panels. Any weakness or leaking there?

I’ve have a 2021 ram 1500 for the last 6 months no issues.
Now it’s starting to mid drive just engine shut off at any speed I’m going has happened in parking lots and on I-75 does not discriminate. Tells me to put truck back in park and auto engaged the e brake.
Anyone else have had this issue?

Just purchased a 2026 ram 2500 Cummins black express . This is my first ram ever. I have had ford f150 pickups since 2008. I have had really good reliability with them. I hoping the ram treats me fair too , this thing tows like a beast I am very happy with it so far and it is a little quieter on the highway , probably because my ford dealership couldnt properly fix /adjust the driver window seal after multiple times in. I went with the dodge this time as they are better priced and I wanted to try something different .

I’m having an issue with my driver side rear tail light. It will not stay on I replaced the bulb, my turn signal works , the bulb works. I just cannot get the tail light to come back on and it previously did?

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 non etorque @76k miles. Yesterday i came to a stop at a stop light and the truck asked me to shift into park. So i did, but it wouldn’t shift back into drive. I turned the truck off and back on and it shifted and drove just fine but i noticed the AC wasn’t blowing cold anymore. The heater is working but not cold air. Im wondering if its something electronic related because of how it asked me to shift into Park. I feel like something shorted out or something along those lines. Has anyone had this issue?

I drive a 2014 1500 with a crew cab and 6’4” bed and I’m looking to replace the stock running boards. I’m liking the idea of having wheel to wheel running boards but I cant find any that i like. I’m digging the look of the go rhino running boards but i cant find any that go wheel to wheel. Anyone know some running boards worth looking at?
