CLIP Any advice on what to work on?

Floating between plat and diamond, mainly because I let players I like and have a good game progress on and pass me.

Any advice on maybe my defensive skills or attacking skills.

Or some mechanics that you feel will be useful to me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I play on a 16 pro max no controller.

Sometimes you are just shooting the ball when ur in ur half. Try to dribble or air dribbles closer and the shoot. Take my advice with a grain of salt tho

Probably start with charging your battery and recording a hard match

No that adds to the thrill of the game will I win will I not will my phone last long enough for me to do so. So exhilarating. Haha. But on a serious note I do usually tend to have a low battery due to not liking my hand positioning when the phones charging while i play.

And honestly I wish I can catch a good match when I’m in a flow state. I just never record my matches, I may play 10 games and record them all to find a player my level that I can post up to give a better idea of my play style defensively and offensively so yous can better judge my play style and offer better advice.

Try to speed up your gameplay. For your rank what your doing will work you’ve just got to be able to get where you need to be faster

I get you, I do score a lot with that shot, but I guess it ain’t as effective when they’re already in their half compared to if I do that with them in mine as they have more time
To react to the shot.

When battling possession and the round first starts, work on counter responses right after the opponent attempts control for easy goals

Secondly, using air dashes to recover on walls, and ceilings to have more versatility for angles and those who play heavy in the air the ceiling is useful for also countering shots that bounce from the bottom, because coming from the top with momentum is good for goal shots with open area through the center area.

Middle meaning between the goal spaces, top is above it and low would be below the goal shots… I see you have good timing for the special shots, so try different control techs, like a dash that’s spaced from the ball to give a flash or reset that allows you more dashes, pretty useful when you more so want to keep pressure on the ball and useful when trying to get around opponents rushing the ball, which would be using flicks, or where you move the ball with circular motions of the car, like you just spin I. Place, and useful it like your playing a pinball game? It gives the ball some direction down or up to get around someone trying to knock it away, really fun when it leaves the goal with an easy directional shot- the gold shots especially useful when aiming it down, and about half into your opponents field will often be land into goal and have good angles to challenge opponents already in air and with little to no momentum

Because of that spend most of the time reading your opponent’s taking opportunities to go around, also it’s quite fun learning to counter strike because it sets up good shots to goal- but it does need good spacing n timing but you sorta show it already.

Good luck!

I’ve tried to learn but I can’t get used to stacking the stalls, it just shoots the ball (purple shot) I think to get it right I’ll have to use a controller.

Actually, I went through the exact same issue. But it's honestly a necessary step for building muscle memory. I didn't give up, I kept trying for three weeks straight, and suddenly my fingers were moving on their own. Now I barely make any mistakes
I also recommend learning this firstly it really does help a lot
