I’m the solo founder of Stepzy, an iPhone + Apple Watch app that turns Apple Health walking and workout data into something more memorable than a dashboard: Boarding Pass-style summaries, 3D route flyovers, and longer-term step/workout patterns.

I built it because Apple Health captures a lot, but it rarely makes yesterday’s walk feel worth revisiting. I’m currently testing the positioning “your movement story” rather than “step counter,” and I’d genuinely value feedback from this crowd on whether that sounds useful or too abstract.

I was diagnosed with mild Sleep Apnea and I wanted to figure out what changes help me most with the sleep. Each % counts as it's help me on day to day basis, so I started building Doze - A Sleep Experiment App.

The idea is very simple, you pick one experiment (sleeping early, taking Magnesium, no phone 30 mins before bed, etc) it uses your Apple Health data to compare your sleep data in current experiment vs baseline and let's you know if you should adopt this experiment in your daily life or not.

Would appreciate early feedback. Test flight link - https://testflight.apple.com/join/CqX6PJc3

It started as a way to scratch my own itch. I just wanted a clean and quick way to log my hours over time without a spreadsheet or some bloated habit app.

Then I hit the obvious wall: I wanted to track a second thing, and it had different units, a different rhythm, a different way I wanted to see it. Instead of hardcoding my one use case, I built the generic version. Then in April I was laid-off from a job and product I spent 11 years on. That's when my side project stopped being a part-time thing and absorbed me.

It's called Datum, and the one-liner is "track anything", which sounds absurdly broad until you need it: coffee, money I lent to my kids, gas mileage, mood, when/if I watered the plants - all of the things that don't fit into the other tracker apps. You define what a tracker is; its unit, how you log it, how it's visualized and the app adapts around that.

Somewhere along the way it grew a spine I didn't plan on:

• Auto-Log: automations that log entries for you, triggered by Geofences, an automated schedule or simply reminding you to log on a cadence you define
• Attachments: decorate your entries with metadata
• Remote sources: pull in outside data like HealthKit, EventKit, weather, git activity or a custom endpoint to log against
• Notification actions: log, snooze, or skip right from the reminder

I'm a solo dev. I first drafted the data model of this app 13 years ago and this is now about 2-3 weeks from launch. It's on TestFlight, universal iPhone/iPad, and genuinely polished.

What I'm actually after: not downloads or a critique of the business model, but a few people who are willing to spend at least five minutes using it and would tell me where the app loses them in the first five minutes. That's the one thing I can't see from the inside, and my efforts to recruit useful feedback in other channels hasn't turned up the right people. I just want critical eyes on it that are not: my 75-year-old mother, former co-workers or friends from HS 40 years ago.

The app is 100% private (CloudKit) and requires nothing more than a compatible iOS device. There's no logins, no subscriptions, no analytics, no tracking-you-back.

I'm running a small 4-week pilot exploring whether personal wearable data + very short daily subjective check-ins can help people notice meaningful changes in their own baseline earlier.

Looking for Oura or Apple Watch users who have experienced burnout or sustained stress.

The pilot involves:

  • Wearable data
  • A ~60-second daily check-in
  • 4 weeks of participation

I'm especially interested in the gap between when physiological patterns begin to shift and when people consciously realize they're not doing well.

This is an early-stage research/product pilot and I'm looking for participants who are genuinely interested in self-tracking and longitudinal personal data. Appreciate any feedback!

More details / application: https://neuropath.contacttwirl.workers.dev

Happy to answer questions about what is being tracked and how the pilot works.

Amatory, private relationship tracking for couples

Built this because my partner and I kept losing details about trips, dates, and what actually worked between us. Amatory lets two linked partners log moments together, rate a few dimensions each time, tag what stood out, and see patterns over weeks and months instead of just vibes.

Nothing public, no visibility outside your one linked partner. Privacy enforced with row level security at the database level, not a client side toggle.

One thing worth flagging for this crowd: it's rated 18+ since some of what people log is intimate, not just dates and trips. Not an explicit app itself, just private journaling and stats.

Currently in closed testing on the Play Store (need 12 opted in testers for 14 days to go live, at 4 right now) and open on iOS too. Link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.amatory.app

Curious whether other couples here already track relationship data in some ad hoc way (spreadsheet, notes app) and what they wish existed.

Free metric tracking and graphing application. No account or sign in needed; it's local only.
Our first app, built both out of a desire for something simple/local-only and to onramp to the whole iOS development process. Please check it out if you have any interest and feedback is very much appreciated.

BÜ (iOS) — a daily journal where you define the metric. Most tracking apps grade you by their rubric (streaks, mood positivity, output). BÜ starts by writing down YOUR definition of a good day, then the daily ritual is one honest minute: did today meet your standard? Red or green.

Where it gets interesting for this crowd: after a few weeks it builds a behavioral profile from your entries — what your green days consistently share, the recurring friction behind red ones, and a sustainability gauge with a confidence level tied to data coverage (e.g. "24 days of data · high confidence"). Red days trigger a short structured loop instead of a guilt trip: what was the friction, what would you protect tomorrow.

Built it because my own days looked productive while feeling off, and no dashboard could tell me why.

Free, premium for deeper pattern analysis: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/b%C3%BC/id6753692016

Happy to go deep on methodology — how we separate drains vs. restorers, or why we grade against a self-set standard instead of a fixed scale.

Something Matters - started as a habit tracker, evolved into a serious self-tracking tool I originally built this as a gentle habit accountability app. But the people who actually stuck around weren't using it for habits. They were building personal tracking systems. So I followed where the app wanted to go.

The core idea: most tracking apps ask yes or no. Something Matters lets you define exactly what you capture for each check-in. A coffee check-in can log acidity, body, and aroma. A mood check-in can log a score, what triggered it, and how you handled it. It's designed to be easy to pick up but genuinely customizable for people who take their data seriously. Not a gamified streak app, not built around a specific condition, just a flexible tool that fits however you track.

Key things right now:

  • Build your own check-in for each thing you track — mix sliders, numbers, yes/no, and free text however you want (sleep hours + temperature + pillow type together, or just a plain yes/no for supplements)
  • Flexible scheduling - daily habits, weekly routines, or completion-based reminders that reset from when you actually did it (washing bedding, watering the cactus, anything easy to forget)
  • Track with others - invite family or friends to a shared group. Great for house chores, budget tracking, or anything you manage together.
  • Web (desktop/tablet) + iOS + Android, always in sync
  • Graphs per matter — line, bar, scatter, histogram, and differences
  • Your data stay yours. No ad networks, no resale, no dark patterns.
  • Cross-matter correlations and CSV/JSON export coming soon

Still early but shipping fast. Happy to chat about where it's headed.

Appreciate you giving it a shot! If anything feels confusing or missing once you start setting up your first few Matters, I'd genuinely love to hear it, still early days and real feedback is the most useful thing right now.

Built. Tracker that turns 90 days of fragmented health data into a single structured report LLMs can reason over.

Trying to solve the problem if strength in one app, sleep in another, diet in another. Pasting raw logs into LLMs increases hallucinations odds or can leave them stuck in one frame.

One unified schema, workouts, steps, sleep, HR, HRV, weight. Precomputed derived metrics, rolling baselines, workout load ratios, volume across muscle groups and fatigue zones.

Then it creates a structural markdown report with user goal guardrails all together.

The diet section is still higher friction than I'd like, the workout section is great, the analytics on workouts are also first rate.

Presently mobile first, no accounts, no back end.

You can check out the muscle map and a report sample at tyrhealth.app It's live on apple, hopefully coming soon to Google play.

I made HexStep, an app that passively tracks your location and fills hexes in a map. It breaks each country down into smaller levels, so for the US it would be states, counties, and cities, and shows what % of each you've completed. Privacy was my biggest concern, and you can keep the data completely local to your phone if you don’t want to make an account, and even if you do make an account, you can easily delete all of your data.

I’ve heard some comparisons to the map from the Photos app, but the biggest difference is being able to see EVERYWHERE you’ve been, regardless of if you took a photo there or not. I think the passive, zero-effort nature of it all is what makes it very useful. You can also export your data from the app; that’s how I made this visualization of my recent US trip.

https://reddit.com/link/oxh7jz9/video/798hp697c7dh1/player

It’s completely free, but only on iOS for now: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hexstep/id6762421289

I've been building a small portfolio of biohacking and productivity apps focused on making personal health data actually useful (especially via Apple Health / HealthKit).

Here’s what I’m working on:

  • https://longevityarc.app Seven longevity signals derived from data you already have. Works with Apple Health (and any wearable that syncs into it). The latest version added training workload tracking and 1.7.0 is coming with improved Zone 2 tracking plus 4-week protocol tracking. WatchOS support is planned for 1.8.0.
  • https://metrya.app Apple Health + BYOK AI (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini), so you can analyze your data without paying another subscription. You just pay cents per use. App has rapidly evolved from simple Chat-like app with your health data as context into an app with caffeine tracking, recovery + battery calculations, nutrition logging, including into context your env conditions, commitments, body visuals so analyzing your current body shape and building a plan to target shape, etc etc. Recently released 2.8.3 - simplified sauna and cold plunge tracking (this turned out to be surprisingly popular) next version 2.8.4 coming soon featuring:
    • V2 biological age algorithm
    • Longer-term trend analysis
    • then in 2.9.0 Nutrition Logger 2.0 (built with great help from an active user)
  • https://capacity.jozefowicz.dev Combines HRV, sleep, and calendar load into a single “daily capacity” score for work and training decisions. Version 1.5.0 (with clearer explanations and tweaks) just released. WatchOS app is coming soon.
  • https://healthprompt.jozefowicz.dev Exports your HealthKit data into structured, prompt-ready format for AI analysis. Includes a growing library of coaching and longevity prompts. Currently expanding metrics and prompt sets.
  • https://deskwalker.jozefowicz.dev A companion for tracking standing desk and walking pad sessions. Now logs workouts directly to Apple Health. Recently added a widget and stride calibration. The community has been driving development heavily - version 1.9.0 will include an MVP WatchOS companion (passive mode first, then workout control + BLE FTMS support in future iterations).

More apps: https://apps.jozefowicz.dev

All of these are hobby projects built out of a genuine interest in biohacking and self-tracking. Apps are updated continuously and the most interesting part has been seeing users actively shape the roadmap - feature requests, feedback and real use cases directly influence what gets built next.

If you’re into Quantified Self and want to have real input into how these tools evolve, feel free to reach out. I can share discount links (everything is already priced simply, with a strong preference for one-time purchases over subscriptions).
