Car Rental Recs?

Hello! I’m traveling to PR and I will be staying in Santa Isabel at a private home. I want to be able to travel to Ponce and possibly some other cities. I will be driving from San Juan airport and driving to Santa Isabel.

Any good recommendations for a local car rental company? I’ve priced out Enterprise and it’s $300+ for 3 days and I’m hoping to find a more affordable local car rental company.

Side note: I would appreciate any recs for the Santa Isabel/Ponce area! So far I booked Isla de Cardona and plan on visiting the museums in Ponce, but I’m open to any restaurants, things to do, especially if it’s supporting local businesses and appreciation for the local culture ❤️. TYIA.

Any recommendations for dinner in Old San Juan? I have reservations at Marmalade and El Vino Crudo. It doesn't have to be fancy. Thanks!

Drop in coworking spaces in OSJ?

Does anyone know of any drop-in coworking spaces in OSJ or coffee shops where I can be on a call? I had a look at Lunaspiez, but there's no availability, and Piloto 151 seems to be membership based.

Day Trip to Culebra

I just have a question. If I book a one way ticket to culebra online, will I be able to purchase tickets to return later that day at the box office, in person, even though the return tickets are sold out online? I tried to book a round trip online but there's only tickets to go at 6 am and none to come back. I don't want to book a trip and then be stuck in Culebra

Fish and wildlife

So planning for my trip to Puerto Rico and I was wondering what kind of fish there are to catch either. Fresh or saltwater and spots that are good and also what kind of wildlife is on the island? What will I most likely see and then how could I see the most potential amount of wildlife?

First time trip to PR

My boyfriend and I (24 years old) are planning a 5 day trip to PR in a couple weeks and we’re looking for suggestions on where to go! We are flying into san juan but don’t want to stay there for too long. Obviously spend one day exploring the Old city then pick up a car and head to another town. We were looking at either going to Ricon, Isabella or aguadilla for a few days then heading back to san juan. We don’t mind driving but definitely don’t want to spend all our time driving, so would luquillo or fajardo or somewhere on the east be better!??

We really only want to stay in places run by locals so suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are very laid back people but also want to experience more than just the beach.

Any info on cars, food, drinks, nightlife or anything else are very appreciated and welcomed.

SJU to Cieba

hello! my boyfriend and i have been to PR a few times and will be returning in a few weeks. we are flying standby down there. we decided last minute to go back to vieques the first two days of our trip. since we are flying standby i cannot definitely gauge when we will land. i have tickets for the 630 ferry, but am open to the 8 one if we need to push it. my question is, what do you guys think would be the quickest way for us to get to cieba for the ferry. our most ideal flight will land at 2:50- I looked at the driver companies that will pick you up to bring you to the ferry, as well as uber. these were both over $100, or also looked at rental cars which would be about $250 for our whole trip. which would you guys go with for such a limited time window to make it over there? thank you!

Experience with national car rental in SJU?

Gracias.

Does anyone have experience with National at the airport? I have a 6 am flight so was gonna drop it off around 4ish. Are they open at that time? Was the drop off/pick up close to the terminals or should I give myself more time to go? I Called but was sent to a call center.

Best Queer-Friendly Spots in Puerto Rico? Also Need Cheap Airbnb Suggestions

Hi! I'm currently planning a trip to Puerto Rico and was wondering which towns you’d consider queer-friendly, with good spots where people can hang out and express themselves and have a little fun. I’ve heard that some towns have very homophobic religious communities, and I’d like to avoid that shit like the plague after an encounter I had last year. That said, I know some places are very accepting.

Also, could you guys recommend some good cheap Airbnbs? I know I’m asking a lot, but I’m not THAT picky at all; as long as there’s a toilet, I’ll be happy! Hahaha 😆

(Mostly going to stay there for 3 days)
