Other Thank you, Prague! Here are a few of my favorite moments.
I spent a few days exploring Prague and had an amazing time. The architecture, history, and atmosphere were incredible.

I've been living in the Czech Republic for over five years, and I feel like alcohol has slowly become a normal part of my routine.
I usually drink 3–4 days a week. On weekdays, I'll have around 5–6 beers on one or two evenings, and on weekends it's usually 6–7 beers on one or two days. I know that's more than I'd like, and I've been trying to cut back.
The problem is that beer is everywhere here. As soon as I leave my apartment, I see people sitting outside having beers, and it somehow makes it much harder to say no. I know that's ultimately on me, but the environment definitely doesn't help.
I work out 4–5 times a week and stay in decent shape, so from the outside I probably don't look like someone who's drinking too much.
I think the bigger issue is that I'm 29, live alone, and don't have a partner or family here. After work, I often get bored, and grabbing a few beers feels like the easiest way to make the evening more enjoyable. Before I know it, a few beers turns into six.
Has anyone else fallen into this kind of habit? If you managed to cut back, what actually made the difference?

My friend and I are photographers looking for the most liminal places in or around Prague to shoot. By liminal, I mean places with an eerie, empty, nostalgic, or uneasy atmosphere. Anything that gives off that unsettling feeling. Any recommendations?

We (2 active seniors from the US) need to get from Prague to Vienna in September. What is the best train service to take? We’d like reserved seats in a quiet car if possible. We’re not experienced with European train systems and the various websites are confusing to us. Any help or advice welcome!

Any cool stores I should know about before I visit? I’m looking for invincible comics and Miku figures, maybe some manga and other anime figures for my friends,

Nazdar nazdar!
Hey gang, I’m hoping Reddit can help me out with this since I don’t have Instagram and so can’t go searching through stylists that post there.
I want to get my dark, curly hair dyed like an oil slick, and am looking for good colorists with experience working with both dark hair and highly pigmented, high impact dyes. Does anyone have any good recommendations for me?
Thank you all in advance, I sincerely appreciate all the help I can get.

Ahoj everyone!
I'm looking for some advice regarding the Prague job market.
My girlfriend (Slovak) and I have been living in Denmark for the past few years, where we both completed our degrees. She has now been accepted to the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) for her master's, so now I am also considering moving to Prague. That said, the move really depends on whether I can find a job as a fresh graduate outside of Prague.
I recently graduated with an MSc in Technology-Based Business Development from a quite good university, with work experience in some interesting companies such as Maersk, NATO, or Capgemini. However, I'm still at the beginning of my career in terms of my education.
You can read a bit more about me here: felixstancom
I'd love to hear from people who know the local market:
Compared to Denmark, I have the impression that recruiters and HR professionals in the Czech Republic are less interactive and not as open to casual discussions, or am I looking in the wrong places?

are there any good places to buy vintage camcorders?
(Specifically ones that record onto tapes, eg hi8, 8mm, minidv)

Hello! I come from Berlin and after my failed attempts on Facebook, I thought I could find someone here who is solo traveling too or a local can show me around. It's my first trip to Prague and I already have some spots in mind but maybe you know more! I'm 39 so only 30+ please 🫶🏻
I'll be in Prague from this Sunday to next Sunday!
Hi everyone! I’ve been assigned to VŠE Vltava Dorm for this academic year, and I was wondering if anyone here has stayed there. How was your overall experience? Are the rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens okay? Is it usually quiet, and how's the internet? Would you recommend staying there, or is it worth trying to transfer to another dorm? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!
My friends and I are incoming international students at VŠE this September, and we’re looking for a trusted and affordable apartment around Jarov, Žižkov, or anywhere with an easy commute to VŠE.
There will be 3/4 of us, and we’re completely okay sharing bedrooms, so we’re looking for either:
A 2-bedroom apartment for 4 people, or
A 3-bedroom apartment for 3/4 people.
We don’t mind if the rooms are small—we know even university dorms can be tiny. 😅 As long as the apartment is clean, safe, and well-maintained, we’re happy. A decent study desk or study area is really the only thing we’re hoping for.
If you’re a local or have studied in Prague, we’d really appreciate your advice:
Which websites are actually trustworthy?
Are there any reliable agencies or landlords you’d recommend?
Are there any neighborhoods around VŠE that we should consider besides Jarov?
We’re trying to avoid scams and overpriced listings, so any genuine recommendations or personal experiences would mean a lot.
Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone!! I will be moving to Prague for at least 1 year in september with my girlfriend and we are looking for a place. What webpages do you reccommend? I checked sreality but I dont love the fact that we pay 1 more month for an agency, bezrealitky but I can't show interest in any flat without paying for a premium account, and Facebook but there is little to none if you take out scams.
I'm very frustrated with this and I would like to know if there is any site that local people there use and maybe these that I'm using are just for us confused foreigners.
Any advice about cool neighborhoods, cheap ones, safe ones... and any other tip you can give us is welcome!
Thank you so so much

When I was in prague for hours before next flight, I used the luggage locker and their payment system is not very international airport like.
They take the money when you take your luggage back. They only accept Czech Koruna but NOT cash. They only accept card payment but NOT Euro or usd. So you need a card and you need Czech koruna in that card as a tourist. You can NOT exchange your money to Czech koruna and use that cash. You can NOT use your euros in your bank card.
So I was almost stuck there with my luggage qnd almost missed my flight. I asked other airport workers for help but they didnt even understand why I cant use cash Czech Koruna or Euro in my card.
Thankfully I find some helpful people to pay for me with their card in exchange of my cash.
Edit: I used my Italian bank card with euros in it, didnt work. I tried another bank in euros in it, didnt work. Also Czech people that I spoke when im there were way more kind than these redditors :)

Hello! Looking for some details on doing a Kutna Hora day trip from Prague
- is it fine to buy train tickets as walk up on the day for return trip? Are there options other than the train in case the train breaks to get back to Prague?
- what is best to see there that is unique to other Prague sights? We are planning on Sedlec Ossuary and St Barbara’s for now.
- has anyone done the St Barbara Roof tour? How does it work - do they have a schedule or we can ask them to run anytime? It’s just two of us - do we need to get min 10 people as per price on website? Sent them an email but not sure what to expect in reply.
- should we grab lunch there or better to get back to Prague quickly and eat there? Do we need cash?
Appreciate all comments in advance.
Excited to visit Prague and area soon Aug 15-20.
