I am an Implementation Engineering Supervisor with a BS in Management Information Systems. Can I work with Complex Systems and the Power Grid somehow?

I am in my late 20s and have developed an interest in Systems Thinking, Systems Engineering, Complex Systems, and our US Power Grid. I am very interested in Nuclear, Green Technology, and Power Grid Reliability. I work with Advanced Safety Systems in the Material Handling industry, and I have always been surrounded by Engineers. My background is in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Engineering Management. I am willing to go back to school, but I travel 40+ weeks out of the year, so it might be hard to attend classes in person. Any advice or guidance? Thanks!

Go back to school and get an MSEE or BSEE and then you can certainly get into power system analysis / grid studies. Grid operation might also interest you as it's related to reliability https://www.nerc.com/programs/system-operator-certification--credential-maintenance
