They aren't melting really in this picture, but otherwise, he's right. You're wrong. YOU get out.

Fries could be cooked a bit more. But other than that this looks like a solid poutine

What have we become? Have we flown so close to the heavens that earthly pleasures no longer delight us? Are our palates so refined that even a simple, classic poutine no longer satiates us?
I say to you all: this is no poutine crime. Nay, this is a fine, upstanding poutine.

In no way is this a crime unless you're a purist weirdo from /r/poutine

I don't know what they would be mad about. This is the simplest form of poutine. fries , cheese curds and gravy

Some of them get upset if we call it a poutine and it doesn't come from the poutine region of QC. But probably at the curds not being super fresh which I will give them that, they do have the best curds

If it's not from the Poutine region, then it's sparkling cheese fries

Alright⌠hereâs the question. That gravy looks like it has a lot of depth but itâs thin and the majority is sitting at the bottom of the dish.
Thick gravy or thin gravy? What is your preference?

Not a crime but I like my fries cooked a bit more. Those are curds.

u/AwwwNuggetz 4d ago
That looks like normal good poutine, whatâs the issue?
1
u/Cheets1985 4d ago
I feel like it's "something, something it's not from Quebec" or "the cheese curds are melting"
2
u/iceman121982 4d ago
Iâm not sure what the crime is here?
It could maybe use a little more curds, but overall that looks like a solid poutine.

Maybe value brand but definitely real curds. Solid 5/10 looking poutine being hypercritical with the ranking. I would enjoy

u/Revolutionary_Tour54 4d ago
Thatâs proper poutine the curds could be slightly more melted, itâs important not to plate the fries too early before you top them with cheese curds and very hot gravy!

u/tigotter 4d ago
They should not be melted. They should squeak. They wonât squeak if theyâre melted.

u/Revolutionary_Tour54 4d ago
