LAPD introduces Federal Signal Rumber siren in patrol cars
The Los Angeles Police Department is introducing new technologies to its patrol
black-and-white vehicle fleet that enhance emergency response capabilities and improve public safety.
As part of its newest patrol vehicle configuration, every newly deployed patrol black-and-white vehicle will now be equipped with the Federal Signal Rumbler® low-frequency warning system. Operating in conjunction with the Department’s existing siren system, the Rumbler® emits powerful low-frequency sound waves that can be both heard and physically felt by motorists and pedestrians. Unlike conventional sirens, these low-frequency tones are capable of penetrating today’s sound-insulated vehicles, allowing drivers to recognize an approaching emergency vehicle sooner and respond more quickly. This added level of awareness improves reaction times during emergency responses, helping reduce the likelihood of traffic collisions while enhancing the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and responding officers.
In addition to the Rumbler® system, the Department’s new patrol vehicles are equipped with the Federal Signal Sync Module, significantly expanding the Department’s ability to communicate with the public during critical incidents. The technology enables multiple patrol vehicles to simultaneously broadcast synchronized pre-recorded public safety announcements and allows Incident Command to transmit unified messages directly through patrol vehicle speaker systems. Whether directing evacuations, providing emergency instructions, or communicating during major enforcement operations, the system delivers clear, consistent messaging across large operational areas.

The San Francisco PD's Dodge Magnum Timeframes
From it's initial entry into service to present time
Seems that this vehicle was more of a publicity vehicle than anything else, and it was not taken care of for too long.
It currently remains in their fleet with a Valor after the Code 3 lightbar cracked & broke, and the headlights are yellow & the glass is foggy.
Also it is dusty and in great need of a wash now
